Unable to complete studies due to financial problems

Hi everyone,
I was enrolled in a course there for the September 2018 Class, I ran into financial trouble during 3rd semester that was till May 2019 into my studies and couldn't continue my classes until I paid the fees, I just received the fees from home this week and I was ready to apply for a study permit extension but it expired on this 30th September, I have queries about what to do next, I guess I have to apply for restoring my status as student, I would like to further talk about this and discuss my options to get an extension as soon as possible/ if it will be approved.
Please let me know if you have any information about such case

If you are within 90 days of your study permit expiring you are able to apply for restoration of status. However, if you have been away from your studies for more than 150 days you may be found to have been non-compliant with the study permit conditions and this may cause an issue when reapplying.

No one can guarantee that your application will be approved, the decision is up to the Immigration Officer assessing your file.

Your college was supposed to advise PGP that you were no longer studying and your study permit should have been cancelled. Whether that actually happened is a different story. At this point you will have missed 2 semester since you shouldn’t be attending school now. You need to study continuously to qualify for PGWP. Assume you stopped working in May and have not worked until now.

Thanks a lot for replying, that really helped! I haven't been away from studies for more than 150 days yet so I'm hoping for the best.

I didn't work at all, I barely had time from classes, my course is just a year in duration, I just wanted to do this course and return to my country.
