Unable to Book appointment at VFS Bangladesh

Hi @Sangyukta and @Tisha07 - hope you are doing well. Any update on web form? Did you get another passport submission letter yet?

Hi @SHENJUTI I submitted first webform on April 4th. They acknowledged receiving and sendig request to visa officer on April 15th. Nothing happened after that. On May 9th i submitted another webform, & received acknowledgement on May 11th. Now on May 14th another agent sent email replying to the 2nd webform but she mentioned about the first webform from April 15th too. So thats mean i guess they are aware of both webforms. According to that agent IRCC making all efforts to process request as soon as they can.
I don't know but getting hopless day by day.

I have submitted on Mar 27 and Apr 16. So 30 days passed for each web forms. Still no luck. Should I submit another one? Or it will make the process delay?

Hi @SHENJUTI, sorry but i am in the same situation and having no clue about any further course of action. God knows how many like us are facing the same issue. No one else is sharing an experience or update, if they have any. Don't think we can do anything else other than waiting

Hi @SHENJUTI No update for my mother's passport submission letter. It seems they 've shut down any process from their side regarding this matter. No clue where to go or who to ask. All my joy and excitement already tamed down. Its just unacceptable!!!

Hi @Sangyukta and @Tisha07 Hope all is well. Any update on passport submission letter? I didn't get mine yet. However yesterday I sent an email to IRCC Singapore office
singapore-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca regarding my web form update and reply is as below

If you require an extension, please contact your processing office and they will re-issue a new request letter, which will again be valid for 30 days.



As this application is currently being processed by the office in Canada and not by the Singapore migration office, please direct your request to the respective office for further assistance. Given that this application is not under the jurisdiction of our office, we are unable to assist with queries related to this application. No further action will be taken with regard to your email.

So what does that mean? My application is no longer with Singapore office? Should I contact IRCC here in Canada ?

@SHENJUTI Hi, no update at all. I am keep submitting the webforms and no response from the other side. The last one i submitted almost 15 days ago. And yes, you need to submit webforms to IRCC Canada; not Singapore.
Don't know if they will reject the visa application entirely or they will just keep us hanging like this. Never heard about this kind of situation ever in my life, where there is no ongoing global pandemic or any other far-reaching incident, but still these applications are getting backlogged.

Then I called IRCC CANADA regarding the email and got confirmation I am in their queue and hopefully get final answer ( another passport submission letter) soon. The agent didn't give me any timeline rather just showing me hope. I have mentioned that it's very frustrating since waiting from March just for a simple letter whereas application is approved already.

Don't loose hope. And yes!!! They can't
Reject your application legally. Please let me know if you hear anything.

@SHENJUTI thanks for sharing. I have done all this almost a month ago and exact same response received. Even the agent i talked with over phone was having a bit rude tone and once i asked what would you suggest me to do since its over 2months now. She advised me to submit another webform. So i asked her then what about the 2 webforms i 've submitted alraedy. did they get lost or not in the service queue? It seems she just suggested something unknowingly.
Allah knows and they know how they prioritise their request queue.
I don't mind waiting at all, but the nature of this waiting is super uncertain and very much unfair in nature. All my friends around spending time with their beloved parents now and here myself having exact same timeline as their parent's application; but going through an endless uncertainity and dealing with an utmost frustrating situation.
I am even doubting that when i will get that letter from IRCC after this long wait, who knows if that ineffective, irresponsible and dishonest VFS people will start another new drama.
Wish someone could teach them a lesson!

Just saw a notice in VFS home page that due to the current condition in Bangladesh they are doing an exception of accepting expired passport request letters till Aug. 15th.
Not clear till which expiry date they are referring to. Do you know anything about this?

I give up my hope on this. If they had not issued any letter at all, that would have been less painful. Now having only my father got the visa, he is not going to travel without without my mother. What a mess this VFS people has created!!

Hi @Tisha07 - please don't loose hope. Keep calling IRCC. I had been calling them at least once in a month. My last call was on September 10 and I stated about that letter issued in June where it said my all doc's validated so technically will get the letter soon. I requested that IRCC agent to send another follow up for me to back office ( even though IRCC Canada call center don't know who will process this- Canada IRCC or Singapore IRCC) . So she agreed and sent a follow up. Then finally got another passport submission letter on Sep 19 and guess what???
Got VFS appointment on Sep 22 without any hassle and finally my mom submitted passport yesterday.

So please keep calling IRCC and request them to send a follow up for you. Hopefully you will get the letter soon and this painful waiting period will be over.
