Unable to access Citizenship Application Form

Hi Seniors ,

I am trying to open the following forms for Citizenship Application on Windows and Mac using Chrome and Microsoft Edge but the forms donot open. Pls advise how to open/access the above
Application Package

1. Instruction Guide
2. Application for Canadian Citizenship – Adults [Form CIT 0002] (PDF, 379 KB)
3. Document Checklist [CIT 0007] (PDF, 1.1 MB)
4. Citizenship Photo Specifications

Pls advise how to open/access the above

Are you trying to open directly? I suggest to download them (using right click & save target as option). It show target file name as pdf. Open them once they are downloaded. If they don't open even after download then probably you don't have right Adobe Acrobat version.

I did what you suggested but it did not work.

I faced a similar situation in 2017 aswell during filing of PR forms. That time I used to open the forms using Internet Explorer.

But now Internet explorer does not exist I believe. It has become Microsoft Edge....pls suggest a solution.

Can you describe what is not "working"? Like do you see a blank page or file is not being downloaded?

You cannot use the browser to open and view the file, so if you are on chrome, right click and save the file. After the save, go to the location of the file and open it with Adobe Acrobat reader.

This is the wording I come across ,whether I click the links OR whether I save the file on my computer and then try to access.
In both the cases this the message I get::

So you have the latest Adobe Acrobat reader installed?

You need to download the latest Adobe Acrobat reader and open the files using the latest downloaded software.

Extremely sorry that I could not respond back all these days as my laptop was it was giving problems.

I was finally able access thee forms after changing some settings. Appreciate your responses.

Can you pls tell me what setting you have changed. I'm having same problem only for Application for Canadian Citizenship - Adults [CIT 0002]
All other forms had no issue. I do have the latest Adobe acrobat reader installed.

There is no issue if you download it first to your desktop and use adobe or any other pdf viewer that's installed on it. Its only an issue if you try to open that form in the browser. Make sure its opening on the desktop app and not the browser.
