Ukrainian passport extension question

Hi guys, I received an ITA on Nov02, have all my docs ready, but I have a doubt about sour passports.

So we are from Ukraine, and living in US for past 9 years, in 2014 my passport expired and in 2015 I went to Consulate of Ukraine in San Francisco and got it extended for 10 years, they put government stamp on top of the passport page and hand written extension with Council name. Last week I was doing my upfront medical and doctor said that passport expired , I was able to convince her that it is valid because it is extended per Ukrainian law. Now I'm trying to figure out if I submit documents if they will be accepted by cic. To get new passports it is like 3 month wait. Anyone ? Thank you
