UK visitors visa extension PLS HELP

Hi Guys,

I recently applied online to extend my stay in Canada beyond the 6 months I was granted at entry because I have a outland PR application in process and will like to remain in Canada with my husband till its completed. But having had time to read some post in this forum I have become worried. Some poster said CIC require prove of date of entry into Canada i.e. copy of stamped passport showing date of entry. I didn't include this as it wasn't requested from me by CIC. So my question are

1) is this the case? and if so will they do document request? or do they just reject application even though the never requested it in the original document request?

2) I didn't include prove that my PR was being processed as there was no where to upload it. I only included my application number. Will this be ok?

It is clearly stated in the document checklist IMM 5558:

Photocopies of passport pages clearly showing each of the following:
- the passport number
- the dates of issue and expiry
- your name and date of birth
- the stamp made by the Canadian authorities on your most recent entry into Canada; and
- any other marked page

If documents were not submitted as requested then CIC can either ask for the correct documents, overlook it or reject the application. It all depends on the CIC officer handling your case.

Hello and thanks for your reply. I think this may be for postal applications. For online applications i got giving a personalized documents list and this wasn't included


Actually I have just found it. U are right I just missed it. I just hope the request it and not decline my application or I will have to pack my bags and go home. Pls God no

Or can I withdraw my application and reapply providing the require document?

I came to Canada on the 29/August/2016 so I have about 2 weeks before am out of status.

1) Considering I don't have 30days left as started on cic website. Will my extension be approved?

2) Can I just reapply immediately or do I have to wait till they cancel it? considering I only have 2 weeks left

You can. Withdrawal can take from 2 to 6 weeks.

30 days is a suggestion.

A second application would be rejected. You can only have one active temporary application at the time.

Please guys does anyone know if I can use case specific enquiry because the link the gentleman above gave me is saying it can only be used when a document is requester and I want to send it before my application gets looked at.
