UK Fare Evasion - Implications for IRCC

Hi,

I am currently a student here in Canada. Before applying for a study permit, I lived in the UK. However, a few weeks before my flight to Canada. I was on a public bus and I got ticket for fare evasion from the fare collector officer for not having the correct ticket. After this happened I came to the Canada. Long story short after a few months I came to canada I received a letter from the court that my case has been heard and that I need to pay a fine of 300 pounds. I also paid the fine. Because this incident happened when I was in canada, should I declare this on my co-op work permit under criminal offence?

My offence is also spent under the Rehabilitation Act of 1974 because it happened a 2 years ago. Does this make me Deemed Rehabilitated to Canada? If so should I also mention that my offence is spent?

After doing some research, I come to know that offence I committed are non-recordable offences. I am really scared this will affect my future prospects in canada. Any advice from you people will be appreciated.

Yes you need to declare it.
Only the PCC can prove if this can create consequences or not.

Bus evasion will not impact your longterm prospects in Canada.

The `offense' did NOT occur in Canada, right? You were on a bus in a foreign country.
