I was wondering whether I have the UCI number already or not? Does it have anything to do with the Client ID number on my previous work permit? Or those are two different things?

Yes you already have the UCI number which is also reffered to as Client ID.

Am not sure I quiet understand what you need but all I can say is wherever you are asked for the UCI or client ID that's the number you are suppose to put in.
