Hello.

is UCI and client id is same?

I am little bit confused.

I had both study and post graduate work permit(currently not in canada) and it has same client ID on each permit.

Should I put my client id as UCI in the form or leave it blank?

What about when you fill out the receipt? - it also ask cliend id.

Thank you .

Hi Floomy.

UCI stands for “unique client identifier.” It is also known as a client identification number (client ID). It appears on official documents you get from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). It has four numbers, a hyphen and four more numbers. (Example: 1234-5678).

Your UCI is assigned to you for life. If you have been allocated one by previous dealings with CIC, you should use it when requested.

As far as I am aware, yes. It is *your* identifier and it links all of your dealing with CIC.
