Hello,
I am currently studying BA(HONS) Accounting and finance in UK and it is a 3 year program.
I was interested in PG diploma program in accounting that the UBC offers.
My following questions are - :
1) Am I eligible for the course?
2) If yes, after completing the course will I be eligible yo sit for CPA?

3) Should I apply for normal student visa where i can also work for 3 years after completing my program?

1. Its not a PG course, only a Diploma level.
2. The course does not make you eligible but yes, you will get credits for few courses at CPA-Prep level.
3. The course is a mix of online and in class modules, with total 10 courses. Even if you get PGWP at all (which I doubt), expect only 1 year.

I emailed the university and they said I will get a PGWP. The course takes 10 months - 24 months to complete, if i take 24 months to complete I can get 3 years post study visa. The haven't mentioned on their site that only if you are working you can take 24 months to complete. Can I do that? thank you

Did a lot of research on this course coz i am also commerce graduate and was looking for a course in accounting.
This course is postgraduate course. U need your degree to be assessed by wes because ubc considers a 4 year degree not a 3 year.
You cannot take 24 months to complete this course as you need to be a full time student to get PGWP. For each term you need to be registered for atleast 3 courses of 3 credits each.
