Dear all,
I have a question with regards to the UAE residence visa cancellation.
Now I have cancelled my USE visa end of September and I have until the end of October to leave without paying fines, however, I will be ready to leave by mid November as the company cancelled the visa as soon as I finished my notice period
My question is, will this impact the citizenship application ? Being overstating on the UAE??.

No it will not.
P.N.: Not sure if this overstay will effect UAE police certificate if required in future (in case)

Clear all your dues/fines before existing for good as this may impact your police certificate outcome that is required for Citizenship app.

Yes I will pay all the fines if any before leaving the UAE and I guess that should be off the police certificate as usually it shows crimes and criminal charges, not immigration issues or financial cases

Can't you continue on a Visit Visa for that short term duration - maybe drive to Oman and back?

Well visit visas to Abu Dhabi are on hold at the moment and they don't issue them
Paying fines isn't an issue, it clears any sort of record. I guess its either you pay the fine or be banned and the name goes on the system.

A friend of mine had the issue of overstaying for 20 days while in the very early process of the PR and once his new company paid the fines he didnt face any issues getting his PR so iam wondering of its an issue

Oh yeah true forgot about that. Okay as long as the fines don't hurt your PCC

I hope so, I don't think it will
Can I issue the pcc as soon as I leave like as I arrive to Canada?? Technically it won't expire if I did that right?

Unfortunately that isn't possible unless you fall under this criteria:

To be valid, the police certificate must be either issued

  • after the last time you were in that country, or
  • no more than 6 months before the date you sign your citizenship application

Here is the Instructions Guide for more information.

EDIT: I just saw the OR. I think if it's your last time in UAE then it should be fine.
