Hi, I got PCC request for UAE for my mother for immigration, I tried to apply online but the requirement is payment by GCC ( Gulf credit card). I don’t have one, any solution to this problem. My mother left UAE in 2013.

I applied for PC on 31st. The process I followed is

1. Went to Dubai police website.
2. Entered the information and selected option Do you have Emirates ID? I selected NO.
3. I didn’t enter any Emirates ID number.
4. Attached Photo
5. Attached Passport copy
6. Attached Dubai Visa copy which was for 2015

Paid through Canadian Visa card

Got my PC emailed after 7 hours.
Thank you & this process worked. Got my PCC on the same day.

Let me clear some confusions that many may have.

1. If you had emirates ID issued when you were in UAE, then no need to send fingerprints (even though it shows as mandatory when you apply)
2. If you forgot your emirates ID number and don't have a copy of it, you don't need to enter your emirates ID. ( Do you have Emirates ID? select NO)
They will correlate it with your UAE visa and issue PCC.
3. Sending fingerprints are for those who were in UAE long back and never had an Emirates ID.
4. Dubai police is the fastest and has great customer support. Do not use other emirates services.
5. A PCC from Dubai police is enough even if you have resided in any other Emirates of UAE.
6. Although it says GCC credit card required, any international credit card will work. Just tick the checkbox which says "I use GCC card"
7. Now if you want to know your emirates ID once the PCC is issued, go to the document inquiry service and enter your reference number and security code from your PCC, the comments field might have a 15 digit number. Your PCC may also have this 15 digit number as "National ID number" or it might be 0. This may or may not work, not guaranteed though.

Hi,
I applied for UAE PCC from Dubai Police app and it is asking to visit the nearest police station for verification? Anybody else has received such a message? Can I visit Abu Dhabi police station as I live here?

Call Dubai police or chat on their website to find out

I applied one month ago through Dubai police online but the status still says "In Process". Has anyone heard about problems for Syrian passport holders?

Yes, it says that but I paid with my Canadian Visa Credit card and payment went through.

Try Visa or Mastercard.
Hi
The IRCC website in the link below states that I (Indian citizen currently not in UAE) can apply for dubai police clearance by either being in UAE/through a representative, by express mail etc. It mentions all means apart from applying online while outside the UAE. I did not know this and applied online on dubai police's website and received my clearance in 1 day over email (it has no stamps). Would this be acceptable to IRCC?

Hi

Have you receivd your PR? I mean is it okay to apply online for Dubai PCC from outside UAE if you are not a citizen? IRCC website mentions applicants inside UAE can apply online.

PCC Is required for all countries lived in for more than 180 days, in the past 10 years. Here is an excerpt from the CIC website for quick reference:
  • Police certificates are required upfront and are mandatory for each country (except Canada) where an individual has spent 6 months or more in a row within the last 10 years. The individual does not need to provide one for any period of time before the age of 18.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html#s04

You may need to specify when you stayed in the UAE to see if you are required to share the PCC at all. If you exited before March 2009, you may not be required to produce the PCC.

IF you lived in the UAE in the past 10 years (i.e., after March 2009), you may visit the UAE Embassy in your current country of residence and give your VISA Details and request a PCC. I'm not sure if you were issued an Emirates ID (because they came into mainstream use after October 2010), however, that may help in expediting your request.

I hope this helps.
Can I apply online for dubai police clearance from outside UAE (Indian citizen) and submit a PCC received on my email. Will IRCC accept this? It does not mention applicants outside UAE can apply online.

Just a heads up regarding PCC from IRCC.

As per IRCC:

You need to provide a police certificate from each country, other than Canada, if you were there

  • in the past 4 years
  • for 183 days or more in a row
  • since the age of 18
Indicate in the chart the name of each country and provide a police certificate.

You don’t need to provide a police certificate if

  • you were in your country of origin immediately prior to becoming a permanent resident and landing in Canada, and
  • this time falls within the past 4 years
Example 1
You lived in France for one year (365 days) before you became a permanent resident 3 years ago. You did not travel to France after you became a permanent resident. You would answer “Yes” to the question and you would need to provide a police certificate from France if you did not provide one with your immigration application. If you provided a police certificate from France with your immigration application, tell us this in the box provided at Question 10b.

Example 2
You became a permanent resident 3 years and 9 months ago. In the past 4 years, you lived in Brazil for 3 months (90 days) before you became a permanent resident and you returned to Brazil to visit family for 4 months (120 days) after you became a permanent resident. You would answer “No” to the question and you would not need to provide a police certificate from Brazil because you did not spend 183 days or more in a row in Brazil.
Example 3
In the past 4 years, you took 10 trips to the United States of America (USA). Each trip lasted 3 weeks, for a total of 210 days. You would answer “No” to the question and you would not need to provide a police certificate from the USA because you did not spend 183 days or more in a row in the USA.
Example 4
In the past 4 years, you travelled to Singapore four times for work. The first trip was for 30 days; the second trip was for 200 days; the third trip was for 60 days; and the fourth trip was for 120 days. While in Singapore, you took a trip to Malaysia (10 days) and Thailand (10 days). You would answer “Yes” to the question and you would need to provide a police certificate from Singapore because your second trip was more than 183 days in a row. You would not need to provide police certificates from Malaysia or Thailand.
Example 5
In the past 4 years, you took 1 trip to Europe where you visited Portugal (5 days), Spain (7 days), France (10 days), Belgium (3 days), Netherlands (3 days), Germany (21 days), Switzerland (7 days) and Italy (21 days). You took a second trip to Europe where you visited Ireland (14 days), Scotland (14 days) and England (21 days). You went to Germany for a business trip that lasted 60 days. The total time you were outside of Canada was 186 days but you were not in a single country for 183 days or more in a row. You would answer “No” to the question and you would not need to provide police certificates from any of the countries.

Hey,
I received my Dubai Police Clearance Certificate in 2-3 days, but it says it's only valid for 3 months. I've read on the Canadian Immigration website that Police Clearance Certificates are valid for 1 year.

I've got my ITA but Dubai Police Clearance Certificate is from about 5 months ago. Do you think I need to apply fr another one?

Thank you
Rohit

Hello. Thanks for the helpful guidance. Really learned a lot about different ways of getting PCC.

I have a question for my situation. I lived in UAE for 8 months between March 2015 to November 2015 and need a PCC for my Express entry application.

Upon arrival to UAE, I entered the country with an Official Passport (Government Employee Passport) and Visa. I also had an Emirates ID card during my time there. Unfortunately, I do not have the originals or copies of the 3 documents.

I was lucky enough to find the record of some of these documents:
Passport: No copy, but know the 1. Passport Number and 2. Expiry Date
Visa: No copy, but know the 1. Visa Number 2. Issued Date and 3. Expiry Date
Emirates ID: No nothing about it.

Would there be a way to find my Emirates ID number with just these information (and no copies of documents)?
How would I be able to obtain the Police Clearance Certificate? Do I have to go through the fingerprint legalization proecss?

Please help. Thank you in advance.
