UAE Police Certificate - Need Advice

Hi friends!

I just received our MR today and along with it is the request for my husband's police certificate from the UAE. We had all the other requirements for a UAE police certificate except for a residence visa. My husband stayed there for 10 months back in 2010-2011 and entered the said country legally with valid working permit/ entry permit. However, his employer failed to process a residence visa for him due to its own negligence and also because it has problems with renewing its business license in UAE. We called the UAE Embassy in Manila and they said they will not accept applications for processing if there is lacking requirements such as a residence visa and we also asked a friend in the UAE to inquire there. Unfortunately, the police says they cannot process a police certificate for my husband since he is considered "overstaying" in the UAE during that time because he did not have a residence visa. Any advise my dear friends on this matter? I would greatly appreciate your suggestions on what to do.. God bless you all and thank you in advance!

Hi, I am also trying to find the exact way to get UAE PCC. there are 2 possibilities for you,
1. Your husband can go on 15 days visit visa to UAE and there he can go to Dubai police office by himself and can get PCC. I heard it takes 3, 4 days to get one.
2. Make your finger prints from your related police office, attest these from your foreign office and then go to UAE embassy in your country. Attest these finger prints from them and send these documents to some of your friend in UAE. Ask his/her help. Your friend will go to the police station (headquarter) and can get PCC on your behalf.

It is a difficult scenario, I had very tough time when I was requesting my Good Moral Conduct Certificate in UAE.. It took me so much money phoning them and too much stress. anyway, 2010-2011 UAE implemented UAE national ID card.. if your husband still have it as well as the copy of his LABOUR Card that would be a big help.

I would like to ask you this, 10months of working there, your husband has this working/Residence visa stamp on his passport right? 10 months is long enough.. and make sure when he exited UAE his visa has been cancelled by employer through immigration in UAE if not the BAN is on his record. Ask him too if all his bank account/visa/mastercard has been closed before he left UAE and secured NOC (No Obligation Certification) those things are critical. It happened to me that bank submitted police cases, hard to prove that all accounts are closed specially we are out of UAE already, good thing I kept all my bank statements and receipts proving all paid, my fault was I didn't get any NOC for all my accounts there. After all the help from my ex-Bosses and colleagues finally I got clearance (valid for 3months only in UAE).

If your husband still know someone living/working in UAE, he should try again to send ;

2 photos
original finger prints - ATTEST by UAE embassy
UAE national ID card and/or labour Card (he should have it for 10 months that he worked there)
Valid Visa (for sure its stamp in his passport long time ago)
Old Labour Contract that he signed in 2010
Passport Copy

You don't have to submit papers to UAE embassy in your country (MANILA), YOU can go straight to UAE GHQ itself with the help of your friend residing in any part of Emirate.

*Once you able to get PCC make sure it is translated in English (another fee).. and ATTESTATION done (another fee)
*IF your friend in UAE has a friend than ARABIC WASTA (Backer/Contact) would be great too.

Hi Jovie..thank you for this.. yes, we already have his fingerprints authenticated by both our Philippine DFA and UAE Embassy. But he does not have a residence visa which is a requirement, no emirates ID and no labour card.. all these documents were not provided by his employer due to its own negligence..he just got his entry/work permit and he entered UAE legally.. it is just that when he was there, the employer was not able to process and provide the said docs.

hi rashidy! is it easy to get a visit visa? worst comes to worst, we might resort to that option of him going to UAE.. but then our friend residing there told us that the application will not be accepted because of lacking requiremnts so the effort to go there will just cost us and chances are we will just be told of the same thing.

I requested a pcc from uae for multiple entries/exits before and after I was residing there, and I received it not dated (no entry/departure date).

unless your hubby did in fact overstay, there shouldn't be a problem getting one

hi!
someone told us that he was considered as overstaying. if that is the case, he cannot get a PCC?

I don't want to give less than 100% true answer; better to check with the embassy or the federal police department in abu dhabi

Getting UAE visitg visa is not a problem. indeed it is very easy. it can cost around.... 250$ for 1 month.
ABout Requirements:
If he goes by himself,
He will need his passport, pictures, and copy of the visa that he had while entering UAE (normally they ask for the Visa stamped on Passport). In case of overstay, they can ask for fine.... i guess 40 UAE Dirham for one day of overstay. And after paying this, he possibly can get PCC.
But u can confirm this from their embassy or ask your friend to get this information from Dubai police GHQ.

Hi,

I have to get a UAE Police Certificate and I'm based in Toronto, Canada.

Can someone please explain the process:
1. a set of fingerprints certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Embassy (Where and how can I get this done? How long does it take?
2. Basically, one has to complete a fingerprint form, get it notarized and submit it to the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) in Ottawa (Where do I get it notarized from? )

Thanks

If I get PCC in Dubai will it be shown in my PCC that I overstayed?
