My Bank Emirates islamic refused to give me a letter according to guidelines of CIC. Were you a able to get such letter?

PS congratulations
Hi, they will not give it, you have to ask them for bank statements (they gave mine on the letterhead) it was stamped. Which I submitted, bear in mind I had no loans or credit cards, if you do I would suggest a "no liability" letter. My bank was Emirates NBD, I did all this at a branch office.

Dear,
How long did it take for the overall process til you got the PPR? Also. Was it through express entry?
Hi, it took a little longer than expected over 8 months, and yes it was through express entry I received an invitation.

Congrats on the PPR, what was your PR process timeline, can you share your experience ?
Hi, it was a lengthy one, 8 months, quite nerve racking, was quite a shock when I received it. All I can say is "no news is good news". I received my gcms notes after my ppr and everything was fine.

All is well that ends well mate, congrats to you and family. 8 months is a long process indeed but then LVO and ADVO are supposed to be notoriously slow...

Baked enough cookies in Dubai at +50 degrees
Now get ready for -30 degrees in Canada :D

Haha, yeah, I've lived in other middle eastern countries as well. I was actually thinking of doing a soft landing as it will take time to wrap up my work and all

I would suggest get them to stamp the bank statements at the very least and explain the reason in your LOE (letter of explanation) I provided an LOE for my proof of funds and PCC, when they asked for the PCC they stated that I had provided evidence so they gave me a chance to upload it. Don't worry documentation drove me crazy also and you have time. I submitted my app 12 hours before the deadline

Hi thanks for reply. Bank statements are stamped and the balance in statements corresponds to balance on the balance confirmation certificate (which has stamps and is on a letter head). Only concern left now is credit card. The debt is very small but bank won't issue stamped credit card statements.

When is your deadline to submit ? you can submit your app even hours before the deadline. How line will your "no liabilities" letter take because if I am not mistaken the "no liabilites" letter also has the date your account was opened, this may depend bank to bank offcourse. As far as credit card statements, I'm not too familiar with the process as I do not have a credit card.

That’s a good idea, once you arrive here at the airport, mention an address of a friend or relative of yours for them to send you the PR card and then ask your friends/relatives to courier you the cards to Dubai.
Use this soft landing to:
-Get your landing paper and SIN# (that you can get at the airport itself once you complete the immigration formalities)
-apply for driving license(if ur arriving in Toronto) G1 (knowledge test) (get a driver history(if u have a license there) from RTA and have it attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs(Al Manara municipality building there is a kiosk)
- open a bank account(i would recommend TD bank)
- Apply for OHIP (Healthcard) for self and accompanying members

Before you leave Dubai for good, get a 1 or 2 years bank statement from EmiratesNBD as well...

Deadline is in 30 days, but I've already obtained all other letters and statements. If the liability letters take more than 2-3 weeks, all my current documents would become somewhat out dated. And honestly I don't wanna delay things right down to the last moment.

Thanks man, I was thinking for going there for 20 days and see how much I can get done as I have a long notice period, won't have time to finish it. Hope the soft landing is acceptable
