Okay, I'm sure many people post here explaining their specific situation, so hopefully this isn't too redundant.
I have a 4 year degree in Interior/Industrial Design and 4 years of experience. I have a job offer in Montreal. They are assisting the process, but I still have some research to do.
I know my career is covered by NAFTA which should help. And I don't have much doubt about me getting accepted.
My concern is with my girlfriend who will be coming with me. She is planning to return to school for her Masters Degree in the near future, but is not yet ready to apply, thus cannot yet get a student VISA. We have lived together for a year and a half which I read qualifies her as a common-law partner or de facto spouse. I need to make sure she can come freely to Canada with me for 6-8 months until she has secured her place at a university, then we can get her a student VISA.
I have read about TN Visas, and skilled worker Visas, and permanent residency.
I guess I want to know which method would be best based on my specific situation.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
