Hello everyone
I hope i could receive assistance from the community.
I am an electrical engineer, with the job title matching with NOC 2133 and my duties are about 60 percent matching.I work in a contracting company that does civil, electrical and mechanical works for residential and commerical buildings. So i have two questions first one is, is the 60 percent match enough. And my second and main question is does the type of establishment matter i mean does it have to be mentioned under the noc description as contracting companies is not
Please seeking urgent help

60% is likely to be good enough.
Type of establishment is irrelevant

Thank you very much for your informative reply, so the establishments mentioned in the noc code lead statement doesnt matter like for my case it says utility companies, electrical utilities, communications companies, manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment, consulting firms, and by a wide range of manufacturing, processing and transportation industries and government.
My company doesnt really come in any ans some people say the lead statement must be met 100 percent i am just panicking here

Your job duties must match with the lead statement as set out in the NOC description as per article R75 2(b) of the IRPA.
However, the type of employers are generally illustrative. Suggest @legalfalcon to confirm.

Thank you, and please @legalfalcon confirm to me if the types of companies mentioned in the noc are illustrative only or are they a staple of the lead statement also if you could please suggest to me a format to the experience letter or a general layout that my manager and the HR should follow while drafting it.
I also hope that the VO knows that in some countries the policies doesnt allow HR officers to produce letters with custom information and also sometimes managers and other staff members are not authorized to produce letters on the company's letter head
What do you think about that @Shahanastar and @legalfalcon

When choosing the NOC, all you have to see is that your job duties listed in the work reference letter SUBSTANTIALLY match those of the NOC selected. The industries mention or the education mentioned in the NOC are only illustrative and you do not have to have it, or be working in that specific industry.

What does substantially indicate for example if 10 duties are listed how many of those should be close to my main duties and is it true that there had to be some exact wording from the NOC

When checking the NOC, the term substantial is not a mathematical formula. It simply means, and that most of the JDs listed match those in your reference letter.

Thank you, i know this might sound repetitive, but most of the statements in the noc duties include several duties that cover a very wide range. I have a lot of my duties that cover the NOC, but if the statement has 2 or 3 parts in it my job might meet only one of them or sometimes 2 of them.
