Hello! I need your help, especially those who applied for migration before August 1, 2014.
My mother is a caregiver in Canada. She started working there on 2008 and decided to sponsor our family for migration last 2011.
She applied for the migration last 2011. By that time, I was 17 and studying full time on an accredited university. She applied me as a Type A Dependent Child.
We received documents stating that we need to undergo medical examination and submitted documents (IM000 something, I don't know, I can't even remember) last December 2014. By that time, I am still a college student and my age was 19.
We did not receive any notice until then, but we had our second medical exam last April 2016.
Now, I am 21, graduated from the university and started working full time since the application is really going slow.
I've decided to work since I read on previous forums that my age was lock in from the time that we submitted all our documents. And that one must not need to marry in order to be considered as a dependent child.
Is it true? Or should I need to enroll again on a full time basis in order to be called as a Type A Dependent Child? Or should I continue to work full time? (Working full time means I am paying taxes).
Thank you so much for your opinions and suggestions regarding my query!
Thanks!
