In large part depends on their kidney function. If their kidney function decreases or they need dialysis before getting PR that could be an obstacle to getting PR. Low kidney function is one of the top medical reasons for getting refused PR.They should also look into medication coverage as a student. Medications are much more expensive in Canada than in India.
