Hello Friends,

Need some insight about TWP. I have question about TWP program and how it works and if it can help to get PR in Canada

*)I understand we MUST have a job offer to apply for TWP : Does this job offer has to be related to NOC list? or it can be from ANY employer?
*)Does my employer HAS to file for LMO or its excepted
*)Is there a quota for TWP?
*)What is the max duration that one can be on TWP
*)can i bring my spouse/children along with me while i am on TWP?
*)once on TWP can i apply for PR? if so under which program?

I would really appreciate if someone can answer this for me.

Thanks

I'll help with some of your questions:

1) Yes, you must have a job offer in Canada. It can be from any employer.
2) Yes, your employer must obtain an approved LMO.
3) No, there are no quotas.
4) Four years is the maximum you are allowed to stay in Canada as a temporary worker.
5) You may be able to bring your spouse and children with you or you may not. There is no guarantee.
6) It's impossible to say whether you would qualify to apply for PR or not. It depends on what kind of job you secure and other factors.

Hi Scylla,

I thank you very much for the reply. This will definetly help. Currently i am have a Positive Evaluation done for Quebec Skilled Migration.Per report it takes 12-16 months to complete the process. My intention is to get started with TWP and simultaneously try for any PR program.

for *)can i bring my spouse/children along with me while i am on TWP? you said MAY be, is it difficult to do so even if i show i can take care of them financially?

thanks again for your reply
