Hello All,
I have got two questions about PR status and PR Card:
1) Suppose that I have been in Canada only for the fifth year of the first five years after landing. If I continue to stay in Canada in order to meet the two year requirement, and request for PR card renewal just after the required period being passed, is it possible for me to maintain my PR status?
2) How is the amount of time needed to renew the PR card estimated? Is it necessary to be in Canada in two consecutive years of the first five years after landing? Or, any amount of time which falls within the first five years, being consecutive or non-consecutive, is going to be counted?

Warm Regards,
Ali

Sorry for the first question, I found its reponse in another thread. But I can not find any response regarding the second question.

- The two years don't have to be consecutive.

- Current processing time can be found on the CIC web site. They change regularly. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/

Hii

in CIC website its mention that

"Residency obligation

you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident.''

i wanted to ask is that ---date you became permanent resident is the date of landing?
