Hi everyone I have a very particular question because my situation is a little bit tricky. So I hope that there is at least one person who can answer my question because I want to apply for Federal Skilled Worker.

So to start with, I graduated August 2012 in Germany and got my Bachelors Degree in Media Computer Sciences. In November 2012 I came to Canada with a Working Holiday Visa. Even though I did not have any work experience as a Developer I managed to get a job as a Web Developer just after 3-month time in Toronto.
So I worked at the company until my visa expired (from February 2013 to November 2013). If it hadn’t been for my Visa the company would have kept me.
My problem was that I did not have one year of work experience (just had 9 month) to apply for the Canadian Experience Class and the company itself did not do the Labour Market Opinion. So I had to leave Canada and went back to Germany.

In Germany it just took me three weeks to get hired as a Developer again, but my first working day was January 1st. 2014 so I did not work for like 1.5 month but I have been working in my company ever since.

So taking my 9 Month of Canadian work experience and adding my now 7 Month experience in Germany (which will be 8 month when I apply) this adds up to more than one year work experience. And because I was / am working full time in both positions I have more that 2000 hours of full time work.

So anyone would I be eligible for the Federal Skilled Worker Program? I mean is having Canadian work experience not an advantage?

Thanks for every answer you guys can give me.

Oh that doesn't sound good. But they also mention the one-year in hours (at least 1560 hours). And in terms of hours I have more than enough. I have also read that a small gap between jobs is fine. I mean would it make a difference if I had started my new job in December? Then the gap would just have been two weeks because I left Canada mid of November 2013.

What should I do? I can't wait. By January 2015, when I have my continuous year, Federal Skilled Worker will be closed.

Oh okay, so what I will have to do is to wait until I have one full year of work experience. That means waiting until January 2015 and hoping that my job category is not full by then. It is not really what I was hoping for but I guess I don’t have any other choice, do I? @Oscar7 would you mind telling me where exactly it says that they close April 30 2015? Because I could not finde it on CIC website. Thanks a lot you’ve been really helpful

Hey because of the fact that I have to wait till January 2015 to send in my application and I want to apply for NOC 2174. I think I won't have a chance to get accepted for the FSW and get a PER. I mean we already have 197 applications. I am getting more nervous every minute.

Has anyone any experience from previous years how fast the caps have been closed?

Thanks
