Hello,
I am a dentist by profession and have initiated the EE process by applying for ECA and IELTS. I graduated with my dental degree in October 2013 and have been working 2 jobs (morning and evening shifts at separate clinics) since then. The first job has been 8 hours a week since November 2013 and I am still currently employed there. The second job was 27 hours a week (November 2013 - December 2014). From January 2015, I have been employed at another clinic (30 hours a week). So from November 2013-December 2014 I worked 35 hours a week in all with two different employers and from January 2015 I have been working 38 hours a week again at 2 different employers but under the same NOC code.

1) Will this be eligible as a full time work experience for the past 1.7 months as it was in two separate jobs but under the same NOC code?

Also, in both my current jobs, I am paid on a percentage basis (of the profit made from the collection). Thus, the salary varies every month. I am paid in cash without any payslips at the bigger job (30 hrs/wk). The smaller one pays by direct transfer to the bank. And at the previous job that I left in December, I was paid a fixed salary in cash (again without payslips). I will be able to procure official letters on the Clinic/Organisation letterheads as per CIC requirement.

2) However, how do I provide proof of payment without the payslips? Only one of the salaries is officially reflected in the bank account. The others paid in cash were deposited haphazardly.

As far as the proof of funds are concerned, I have the minimum required amount in my bank account. However, that account is held jointly by my father and me. I was a minor when that account was opened and having a parent as a joint holder was mandatory at that time.

3) If I get his name as joint holder deleted from this account, will it be satisfactory to prove that the funds belong to me without any liability by the time I receive an ITA (which could very well be more than 3 months from now). Or is it better to transfer these funds to another account in my sole name?

I request you to post your insight and recommendations. It will be of great help before I create the online profile. Thank you!

3 ways of looking at work experience and you need to consider each one of them.

1. EE - FSWP eligibility - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

This appears to be fine in your case but calculate the work hours again, you need to accumulate 1560 hours to qualify.

2. FSWP 100 point grid http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

You need to score at least 67/100 to qualify for the program. Work experience acquired at multiple jobs in the same NOC within the last 10 years can be calculated to get you up to 15 points.

2. CRS score http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp

Points for foreign work experience (acquired anywhere outside Canada including country of birth) max out at 3 years of experience. These can be across multiple jobs & NOCs.

Also, in both my current jobs, I am paid on a percentage basis (of the profit made from the collection). Thus, the salary varies every month. CIC doesn't need proof of payments/salaries in the normal scheme of things post ITA. They might request for these only when there is some concern on the legitimacy or authenticity of employment. You do need to procure reference letters in the required format.

Source here ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

a reference or experience letter from the employer
should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant's name, the company's contact information [address, telephone number and e-mail address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company);
should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits.

Your choice if you want to take his name out of the joint account, not strictly necessary. Yes, it will be less messier that way but it is your call eventually. CIC is ok with joint accounts with the PA's name on them. As an additional precaution, you can upload a self-declaration from your father that he has no reservations with you choosing to utilize these funds solely towards POF and settlement funds.

Find below what CIC wants from the PA regarding POF. Source here --->

Thank you so much! Your reply has been of great help. I was rejected for a trv in July last year. Will I need to provide the UCI I was given at that time at any time in the EE process? Do you think it could have an impact on my application?

Yes, declare the UCI when asked for during profile creation. I don't imagine that would've any impact on your EE application.

Hi,

I have a question related to this. You know that for the skilled worker(international graduate/CEC) category we don't need to show Proof of funds when we have a valid job offer and working. I am planning to get married before my BC PNP approval and update them. However, LICO for two members requirement in Vancouver area is 27,257. My LY assessment shows my gross earnings close to $19,xxx only as I graduated from my program in April only. This year I changed my job and working at $13.20/hour(from June,2015 earlier was working at $13). So, clearly I'm not reaching the min. Threshold of LICO for 2 member family. I am confused either to go for it or wait to get married until my PR is approved. Or I can still put in Proof of funds and get married?? P.S I'm here in Canada and my fiancée is in India.

Please suggest
