I just noticed today, when going through our emails from immigration that we have two file numbers. One starts with a B and we received that number back on August 16th. The other starts with an F and it was on a letter that was sent to me (the sponsor) saying that they received the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (the letter was dated August 30th)...is this normal? I can open the E-cas by both numbers.

It is normal.
Your immigration file number starts with B

if i use the file no starts with B then nothing comes up. ??? .but its alright with the F one.

Old file system they used had File numbers starting with B but new system they are switching to has file number starting with F. So if your file was in the old sytem you got assigned the B number and then they transferred your file to the new system and you also got the F number.

CAIPS to CGMS transition is the reason you have two. Maybe they disable the old one for login after switching you to new F number.

Thanks for the replies everyone :)
I was just worried and thought they mixed something up but I guess not!
