Hey,

I have three Diploma from India with WES report which says Canadian Equivalency of three year Canadian Diploma, and I have two year diploma from St.clair college of arts(Windsor). Which actually is three year course but it's fast track course so it was completed in two year.

My question is in Express entry profile what should i select in education form,
Two or more degree,
Bachelor degree,
Two year diploma.

thanks

I think you should select "Bachelor's degree OR a three or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute".

In order to select "Two or more..." your second qualification needs to be post-graduate.

Just to correct it is not necessary to be an post graduate. It can be graduate Diploma done parallel to bachelors or even online.

CIC's list of acceptable second credentials for choosing "Two or more..." has been updated not too long ago. It now says:

Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years)

Only graduate and post-graduate credentials are on the list.

The Web states
PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), or:

By this it means any section below, e.g one year certificate etc ( not high school) or the list you provided. So it is not just the list you provided, it is anything above high school. Else I am complete miss reading it, which wouldn't be a first

I'm in a similar situation to a poster on BritishExpats from earlier this year who had a similar query, so I've got a keen interest in this too. In the thread on BE the OP states that his bachelors and pre-university education (AVCE in ICT and HND) was assessed by WES as 2 certificates.

I'm inclined on that basis to agree with you that the qualifications don't have to be in the postgraduate list - so long as they're not deemed to be high school qualifications it should go down as two certificates.

That's my inclination too, but I said something similar in another thread not too long ago, and a senior corrected me.

I think the truth is no one knows , I just got on the cic website which doesn't state it. It's such an annoying subject that no one can't give 100percent answer

I don't personally see the harm in selecting the higher qualification. Although CIC may potentially look at the ECA and decide that it isn't two certificates for immigration purposes, it hardly counts as misrepresentation if you have an ECA which lists two or more certificates, one of which is at least 3 years, in the summary.

Considering that you get a reasonable numer of extra points having two certificates rather than just the one, I'd be tempted to take the chance rather than potentially sit in the EE pool underneath 450 CRS indefinitely. That would obviously change if there was a LMIA backed job offer or PNP sponsorship, but if I'm in a situation where I need the points, I'm not being dishonest selecting two certificates and it gives me a chance of getting an ITA.

Inserts obligitory IANAL caveat

Just had my ECA result:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Diploma (two years) and bachelor's degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS
1. Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by the institution
Country: United Kingdom
Credential: Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education
Year: 2003
Awarded by: Edexcel
Institution Status: Recognized
Major/Specialization: Information and Communication Technology
Canadian Equivalency: Diploma (two years)

2. Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by the institution
Country: United Kingdom
Credential: Bachelor of Arts
Year: 2014
Awarded by: University of Cambridge
Institution Status: Recognized
Major/Specialization: Law
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)

Unless anyone can definitively tell me that I've read the page on CIC's website wrong (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp) I believe that this allows me to select "two or more certificates/diplomas/degrees" on my EE profile...
