Hi,

I had applied for PR Card Renewal in 2014 and subsequently i was asked to provide additional information and RQ which i did. Later on they asked me to apply for PRTD as i was outside Canada, i applied for PRTD and got it in 2 days.

Today while checking the ECAS i was surpirsed that they cahnged my residential address from the one i had provided inside Canada to the one i am living outside Canada. Secondly there are 2 status showing on the ECAS screen mentioned here under,

First Status
In Process = we recd your application in oct 2014 and we started processing your application in jan 2015

second status is

Decision Made = We recd your application in aug 2015, we started processing in August 2015 & your request for PR Card was approved on Aug X 2015 your PR Card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required, made available for you to pickup at CIC office.

Please advice whether they will send my PR card at the inside Canada address i had mentioned earlier or i had to go collect fm CIC office as my present address is outside Canada ?

Secondly how long it will take for PR card to be delivered or available for collection ?

Thanks

hi,
the second status is most likely for you PRTD application - if you check the dates it will probably align with the timing of when you applied and received the PRTD. It does not mean that your card is on its way...

I also have the same opinion but then why this status is showing against my PR renewal Application status ?
It also says that your PR card will be mailed to you or if quality assurance is required will be available for collection at CIC office !

secondly they also changed my address on ecas fm inside canada to outside canada.

PRTD approval in turn facilitated PRC renewal completion. In theory since your 'proof of residence' documents in particular your passport have been scrutinized in detail by both CIC SR team and CIC visa post they most likely will mail the PR Card. Typically this within 2 weeks of approval but its peak season for CIC so timeline may slide a little. Good luck.

Thank you for replying.

Problem is that i am outside Canada and they have also changed my address to outside Canada so i believe that they will ask me to come and collect from CIC office but will they send the letter to my outside canada Address ?

Inland CIC do not mail PR Cards or PR Card pick up notices outside Canada (unless compelled to by the courts as part of a judicial process). CIC may still require an in person pick up but typically this is to verify original documents (read passport stamps) which from what I can tell as per your threads has been done by the visa post. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Thank you.

Today i received the letter from Local CIC office at my Canadian Address which says that

" Our Record Shows that on August XX 2015, the CHC xxxxx mission determined that you complied with residency obligation. As a result your permanent residency card application will be returned to the case processing center-Sydney, Nova Scotia to complete processing.

You will be contacted if address information is required or if you need to pickup your PR Card in person. If you are not contacted your permenant residence card will be sent to you by mail "

Any idea how long it will take to get PR Card now ?

Thanks
