I've just received my GCMS notes and it read as follows.Markicof said:Bachelors Degree
Level of Education - Two or more ( as per http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=1129&t=29 )
Then in the lower section;
Level of Education(Canadian Equivalent) - Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute (ECA states Bachelor's degree (four years))
One year Certificate (CIMA)
Level of Education - Two or more
Then in the lower section;
Level of Education(Canadian Equivalent) - One-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute (ECA states "Completion of a College Level Certificate (One year))
I hope this is good news - it is sometimes hard to tell. I hope this helps others out there in the same position I was in several months ago.EDUCATION DOCUMENTS ECA report verified on issuing agency website; foreign credential confirmed on ECA site. ECA Canadian Equivalency Summary reported by issuing agency as Bachelor's degree (four years). NOTE: ECA reports Canadian Equivalency on 1st credential as Bachelor's degree (four years) and 2nd credential as Completion of a college-level certificate (one year). Two credentials are consistent with level of education claimed by PA under EE Eligibility.
Great news ! Thank you very much indeed ! I was extremely stressed lately as I claimed two or more degree (because the body of my ECA Report lists 2 bachelor's and another one year completed studies not recognised as a Canadian degree) while my WES summary listed only one bachelor degree of 4 years. I never thought it could be a problem before reading some threads here that make me worried. I have ordered GCMS notes too and was waiting for them to update here too.Markicof said:Hi All
I said I would update once I knew more.
I had two major issues.
1. My WES summary only listed Bachelors, however, the body of the ECA listed Bacheors and a one year college level certificate.
2. What to select on the form. I filled in the forms as:

I studied on my own mate. I guess I was just lucky!Vwar said:Its osome .
U took any classes for Ielts?
Mine is
Writing 7
Reading 7.5
Speaking 8
Listening 7.5
I studied on my own
This does seem like positive news. However, a note of caution, there is "sometimes" a second evaluation of IELTS / WES / NOC reviewed by local VO as well.Markicof said:Hi All

How it comes you have chosen Master as a level of education while WES evaluated your master's degree as bachelor of 4 years ???talkto_vinay said:Hi Markicof
My master degree was evaluated as Bachelors(4 years). My canadian Equivalence summary was : Bachelors (3 years) & Bachelors(4 years)
I filled as below & as it is different as yours, I am very worried:
Bachelors Degree
Level of Education - Bachelor's degree
Then in the lower section;
Level of Education(Canadian Equivalent) - Bachelors degree
Master's degree
Level of Education - Masters
Then in the lower section;
Level of Education(Canadian Equivalent) - Two or More
Amitsolanki19 on this forum has filled exactly as mine & has received below remarks from GCMS (not rejected yet):
Credential is not consistent with Level of Education claimed by PA under EE Eligibility. Credential reported to be Bachelors degree (4 years) while PA has indicated "Two ore more Post Secondary Programme" credential......
Please re-read my earlier post, I put Masters for "level of education" but not for "level of education (canadian equivalent)"Interista said:How it comes you have chosen Master as a level of education while WES evaluated your master's degree as bachelor of 4 years ???
I think your first selection is ok
But in the second selection, you should have chosen bachelor again as level of education and in the lower selection you choose two or more degree, certificate...etc.
I understood but I think that even the level of education in which you chose "Master's" refers to Canadian equivalent and the lower selection refers to which EE situation you would claim points.talkto_vinay said:Please re-read my earlier post, I put Masters for "level of education" but not for "level of education (canadian equivalent)"
As advised by experts, the correct selection for my master degree was, "2 or more degre" & then "bachelor"Interista said:I understood but I think that even the level of education in which you chose "Master's" refers to Canadian equivalent and the lower selection refers to which EE situation you would claim points.
In your case your first selection is ok. In your second selection the lower selection is ok as it shows two of more degree (and it is real because you hold 2 bachelor's) but in the level of education you should have chosen Bachelor degree because it is your Canadian equivalent level of education.
Nevertheless, I think it won't be a problem despite the agent will note that you said you hold a master while you hold the Canadian equivalent of bachelor because regarding EE points, you did not claime points of master but points for two degree.
That's exactly what I wrote. What you consider Master's in your country has been evaluated as Bachelor's in Canada. Therefore, you should have chosen bachelor instead of master and in the lower selection two or more degree is OK. However, as you did not claim points for master's, then your score won't decrease and eligibility will be passed.talkto_vinay said:As advised by experts, the correct selection for my master degree was, "2 or more degre" & then "bachelor"
However I filled differently but did not claim extra points.
So worried how will it be treated as Amitsolanki has faced these remarks in gcms as posted by my above
