That's nothing new. We already know that up to 23,000 persons will get ITA under CEC.

the response from MP does not answer anything it just presents facts from the past which we all agree were better as previous system was better for us on PGWP. He does not talk about the new system and how it is affecting us. New system(express entry) poses a danger to us on PGWP and not the old system. The response seems like a typical politician response just giving false hope.

yes we know that but by implementing new express entry the students who bring $10bllon r being ignored. Thats the problem and not what happened in the past.

Well all he kept telling is International students on priority , just highlighted some categories but I did not understand the priority that he listed in his article in the

24 draws for 2015.

CEC = 23000----3 draws completed---maximum 1000-1500 CEC people..left is almost 21 draws they need to take 1000 per draw to fill minimum count 21000...

from 2008 cec was never filled(12000). but was for 2014 which was 8000(with caps in noc B).

CEC_cycle_year 2014march-2015april(correct me if wrong)

by this (being positive)in the month of may,2015 the scores will come down to 400-450..

Thats what I call politician talk we will do this, we will do that, just before the election and nothing happens after the election. His welcoming is not seen in the express entry system.

So at least now we know don't expect a final decision before August. Which sounds like 8 months rather than 6 or less

23000 is the total number of PRs including dependents. Don't mix up number of PRs and ITAs.

I don't think you are correct about that AAA. CIC will be accepting 23,000 economic immigrants - that is the principal applicant - the spouse, dependants etc are not economic immigrants, they are spousal, dependant immigrants etc. This is what Chris say in his article:

'in 2014 we sought 18,000 young immigrants to Canada under CEC, most of them graduates of Canadian post-secondary institutions. In 2015, our immigration levels plan calls for 23,000 talented newcomers to be welcomed under CEC."

To me that looks like the numbers refer purely to the principal applicant under CEC and not their dependants. I'm open to correction if I'm wrong about this

then i would have been selected for 2014 CEC. my application came back because 8000 APPLICATIONS have been received. not 8000 PRs have being issued..

FACTS:

8000 applications were received only between May 1 and October, no a whole 2014 year.

i think he has given us a hint in the article that intl students on Pgwps will get their turn . He can probably not state clearly that YES , those without LMIA/pnp will get picked up probably due to political or legal reasons or whatever.
But I think he has certainly given us an indication in the article .This is how I would interpret.
