Ive seen a lot of topics about permanent residence timelines and open work permits.. but if you're from Mexico and ure applying for your WP for the first time! pls let us know!!
i applied on April 16th, 2013 for a TVR and WP and the process is supposed to take 6-8 weeks... however, because of the strike, we haven't heard back from the Embassy...
we're trying to find out if someone has gotten their WP approved here in Mexico in the last few weeks!, after the strike started!! PLS, we're getting desperate here!!

I applied WP in Mexico in the end of Feb, and got WP visa in May 11. I got medical exam in 13 days after my documents were submitted online. And I got passport request 2 days after they received my medical report. They sent back my passport with visa only two day after they received it. The whole processing is very smooth and fast.

As you said, the strike has been making the processing very slow!

oh wow! did you apply under the live-in caregiver program?? i never got the Medical Exam request or anything... its been 2.5 months since i applied and i haven't heard from them at all!

I applied under cook.
You will get medical exam soon, I am sure.
Good luck!

Has anyone else received their visa during June issued by the Mexico City Embassy????

is the embassy on Mexico working o not? I am not from mexico, I am from Central America but I would like to know what really happen are they really working with people are applying to resident permanent visa or not? alguien me puede decir si ellos estan trabajando para personas como yo que estamos esperando nuestra visa de residencia permanente o si esta huelga afecta solo para los estudiantes y para personas con que quieren viajar como turistas?
