I think is a good question. everyone pays fees first though as it's recommended by CIC while applying from India

have you submitted for visa application on the basis of these docs?

For 'University' category, you are not supposed to pay anything upfront, since its extremely rare for any university to ask for fees in advance. You are fine with your docs.

Hi J5M

I appreciate your response.
But at CIC website I read the below information for applicants of study permit from India and this is under non SPP category.

Temporary Residents

If you are visiting Canada, you must prove that you can support yourself and the family members who will be with you while you are in Canada. Provide as many of these documents as you can:

your bank statements for the past four months
a bank draft in convertible currency
pay stubs
an employment letter
proof of assets or business
proof of payment of tuition and accommodation fees
tax reports, declarations or statements
proof of a student/education loan from a financial institution
a letter from the person or institution providing you with money
proof of funding paid from within Canada, if you have a scholarship or are in a Canadian-funded educational program
proof of a Canadian bank account in your name if money has been transferred to Canada

So are we good to go without paying the tuition?

What will you do when no university accept tuition fees in advance (except in British columbia). You can't pay forcefully. You are good with LOA and a certified loan for university category (India).

So I have acceptance from Conestoga for Construction management (CO-OP). I am planning to pay the tuition through an educational loan. However, the loan will only be disbursed after study permit approval. What should I do in this case?

Hi Womic,

What you can do is apply for the loan. They will give u a sanction letter. put that letter in your visa file.
If u have to pay any deposit to college, pay from ur pocket and later on get it claimed with the bank.
Visa gets approved with sanction letter also. Once u get ur visa u can then start disbursement process.
