hi guys! Is there anybody who’s tried their luck with visitor visa?
I’m actually planning to apply soon, any suggestions?

Hi,

I think the general sentiment is that often those are denied. Howver, in our case (Thai wife with higher education and previous travel experience to other countries) the wife was approved for a multiple entry TRV.

That’s great @siamyvr can you please tell me that what ties did you show with your home country? Like what made them believe ?

In terms of ties, I think it was just showing her bank account balance (it is not nil) and explaining that she is still working on her PhD. I don't think we gave much more proof of ties than that.

It is hard to tell what helped. I think it was a combination of her previous travel history and an extensive invitation letter from that followed their guidelines (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/letter-invitation.html). I made sure I included everything they requested there.
