TRV while PR in progress

Hi,

Is there any chance of rejecting TRV if PR application is in progress? Any ideas?
Please advise.

A PR in progress is not in itself expected to affect your TRV. "Dual Intent" is absolutely acceptable as per CIC guidelines. But with every TRV application, it is important that you can show enough ties to your home country (job, family, property etc).

Agree. Or if you are in Canada applying for a TRV, have a valid work or study permit and proof of employment or enrollment in school respectively.

I am the principal applicant in my PR application. My spouse is in India now and his TRV is under processing.
I have not yet added him to my PR application since I got married once after I applied for PR.
Now I am going to add him in PR application. Does that cause any issues with TRV which is under processing now(It's been 3 months since we applied for it.. )? Please help!!!

You need to inform cic as soon as your circumstances change. Delays in doing so can potentially lead to significant delays in the processing of your application.

Hi,

I already informed cic about my marital status change thru email and they sent me the documents which I need to submit to add my spouse in the appliction. However, I did not submit it yet since I was waiting for his TRV to get it. Now that TRV is taking longer than expected(almost 3 months now), I am thinking of updating my PR application now. But my question is that would it cause any issues with his TRV in process if I do that? Can I go ahead with that? Please advise...

No one knows whether or not it will affect the TRV(separate applications) but you need to add him to the PR application if you want him to join you.

Updating your marital status with cic does not affect your trv application any negatively. If it will make you relax, my friend just had his wife's TRV approved while in similar situation. I will advice you update your record of marriage with CIC ASAP.

I decided to update my PR app as soon as I can.
Do I need to update my application again once my spouse is here in Canada with his latest address?
