Hi priyum

my name is Nisha Vipin Kumar. My husband is in Canada on work permit status. My husband having a valid Canadian work permit which is applicable till December 2013,My husband shifted on there in October 2012, I am in India, Ambala (Haryana).I am a house wife. I got married in February, 2011; We have a baby boy of 6 month living with me in India. We(me and baby) want to go to Canada to accompany my Husband.

I have applied TRV but it got rejected. Canadian High commission has also mentioned some reasons for that as given below.

1. You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision. I considered several factors, including:
(i) Your travel History.
(ii) Your family ties in Canada and your country of residence.
(iii) Purpose of Visit.
(iv) Your personal assets and financial status.

2. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself in Canada and to effect your departure.
3. You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your . your host’s income and assets.

So, Please suggest me how can I apply go there to accompany to my husband. Please help as soon as you can.

pls reply me its very urgent....

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1) There is not much you can do about travel history. It's a standard reason even if you travel Canada before
2) Your family ties appears stronger if you and your child applies separately. Yes, the child cannot travel on its own, but you can always say you have a family friend who is willing to take care of him while you are away to Canada and you would be back to take care of him when you return to India. If your visa is approved, then apply for your child.
3) Your husband would need to provide you an invitation letter
4) Yes pay slips of your husband in Canada and document showing your financial status e.g bank statements.

The best thing to do here is:

1. If you have some property in india under your or jointly with someone have it assessed by an approved evaluator
2. Have the jewellery or any other assets evaulated as well by govt approved evaluator
3. Get Pay slips, T4 , Income statements from your husband
4. If you are working show your income and financial statements
5. Have your husband buy a Canadian Medical Insurance for Visitors (Very strong document.. believe me)
6. Get a return ticket itenary from any Agent of your home country (This shows that you will come back)
7. If you can get any strong reason to visit like, husband's birthday or your or your baby's birthday and that you wanted to have a good family reunion have it instated on the invitation letter by your husband (This helps a lot.. Canadians value family a lot)

Once you have these documents at your disposal i am pretty sure there wont be much room for any denials.

Thanks

Very probably chances that your hubby may be granted a visa. If applying for the first time its best to apply single entry if you are not sure of the outcome. Always keep in mind that you have to prove the Canadian Officials that:

1. You have no intention to stay in canada beyond the proposed stay
2. You have strong ties to your home country / place of residency (this may include work)
3. Enough monetory resources to provide yourself a safe passage and that you may not be a burden to Canada

If you can provide the above with relevant evidences you should be able to satisfy the evalutaing officer.

Thanks

Good day Everyone! Hope all of you can assist me and my friend

I have a Sri Lankan friend, 22 years old and currently working as company driver in one of the company here in Qatar. He will be two years by April 2013 and already eligible for vacation and company sponsored ticket by then. Before he worked in saudi for 6 years. He started working by the age of 15.

He wants to take his vacation in canada to visit my cousin. However, it is only the husband of her cousin has work. He works as an Engineer and his cousin gave birth to their second child in Canada last year.

Can you help us with the requirements?

Is this good enough:
1. Marriage certificate of her cousin and her husband's cousin - to show that they are legally married
2. work details of her husband
3. their bank statement
4. invitation letter from them
5. Do i need to attach her cousins, my friends own birth certificate, and her and my friend's father birth certificate to show that they are cousins?
6. since they will take care of me during my stay in canada, how much is the necessary bank balance from there side and my friends side
7. what we need to show to the visa officer regarding the strong ties? since my friend left sri lankan since 2007 at the age of 15 and went back only for vacation.
8. i will attach employment certificate, letter from the employer and contract to show to the visa officer that my friend will leave canada and not overstay - is this good enough?
9. travel history - ?

Kindly assist us and thank you in advance

You need to convince the case processing officer that your friend has no intention to overstay or stay illegally in canada. The documents above would certainly help but the visa officer may surely want to see a strong reason to prove your friend's ties to home / country of residence. Provide a concrete proof and you should be good.

We cannot read the minds of the processing officer however, you have to be very much careful in giving a clear and truthful explaination as why you applied for 2 years earlier and 2 months now. There are no hard coded rules that you may not be granted a visa because it was rejected the first time. You have to read the requirements of the processing officer. What they need from you is a surety that you will not be a burden to canadian government.

I think you should be good this time.

Hi Noorlee: Most of your questions revolved around how to CONNECT your friend with your cousin which actually would strengthen the Sri Lankan friend's ties to Canada. It takes a while to get into the mindset, but you have to find the balance between one side and the other. Yes, it is great that he has an invitation letter from your relatives (they can word their invitation letter along the lines of "We wish to invite our family friend, XX, to visit our home in YY for ZZ weeks. We have known XX since and explain how they know each other and reason for his trip to Canada. We wil provide........" They can include their proof of citizenship and tax return for last year as proof of residence and income (it doesn't matter that the wife isn't working). You don't have to go overboard proving THEIR situation. Where the tricky part comes is proving your Sri Lankan friend's ties to his home country and ability to support himself on holiday. The fact is that he is working in a country away from home, as he did for 6 years prior to that. He will have to show his TIES. If he owns any property include evidence. Get a letter from his present employer explaining his leave and return date. Without spouse or children, it will be difficult to show evidence of something he would "not walk away from" in order to overstay in Canada. Has he done any vacation travel to other countries to show he has gone away and returned? This also shows that he can afford holidays, which futher shows the VO that he has an established job. Good Luck!
