I applied trv for my family in July 2020 and flight December for Christmas but till today no news stuck at the point we processing your background check and final decision we will send you msg I'm stuck at P1 or P2 biometric accepted sept 4

processing is 8 months to over a year! Plus you have don’t biometrics and many offices are closed and visitor visas are not a priority. Also they may need written authorization to travel.

We have done our biometrics alrdy coz here in Malaysia office still open..just stuck at background check....no email whatsoever...

We got nobdy there...July we applied for Xmas holiday as we didn't think covid 19 gonna be that crazy....Xmas passed alrdy still no news from trv ..

So you can’t travel to Canada anyways. You will have to wait (maybe a long while) until the border opens to tourism.

We also applied here from Malaysia in November, status same as yours. Not even review the eligibility yet. The processing time shows 84 days seems like not accurate for Tourism visa as per your status. Pls keep us updated about your timeline, thanks.

Don’t expect a response as priority are to family member of Canadian citizens and PRs. Plus Canada’s borders aren’t open for tourism. It may be a while, possibly next fall.
