My wife previously had a TRV for Canada but never used it to travel. She recently received a passport request (PPR) for her pr application, and we submitted her passport. Will she now receive an IM-1 immigrant visa stamped in her passport along with the COPR, or only the COPR? And does this way of things creates any delays?

She'll get an immigrant visa plus COPR. There's no other way to do it, so no delays.

The reason I’m asking is that I read somewhere if you have a valid TRV, they don’t stamp IM-1, and just give COPR document.
I don't think that's true - although applicants from ETA countries may not get separate visas.

But even if it is true - why does it matter?
