TRV stay period and Itinerary preparation

I am planning to apply for TRV to visit my sister ( PR holder) in canada . Am preparing an itinerary for september 2018 few weeks but because of some personal reasons i may travel by november . Will there be any problem if i din travel by september ? And i would like to know the period of stay that they will approve for a TRV. Am totally confused.

Note: I dnt have any travel history .

Others can comment as well but usually 2-3 weeks is generally best option to quote for any visit. Once you have an approved TRV doesnt matter when you actually travel as long as the TRV is still valid at time of travel.

usually how long is the TRV valid ? 6 months ?
