TRV rejected two times

Hi travel experts,
My TRV rejected last week for the second time. I was applied in 2011 before and rejected due to the reasons of "purpose of visit" and "Immigration status". I am an Indian working in a well reputed company in KSA last 10 years, and holding a B1/B2 visa for USA valid till 2020. I have traveled more than 20 countries for tourism purposes last 10 years, Including twice to US, three times to UK, Australia, Europe and Asia with family. No idea still the Canada visa officer is looking a purpose of visit and rejecting for the same reason??!! This time I attached all the necessary documents including travel history, bank statements etc. Unfortunately I dont have a friend/relative who can invite me as a visit to there? Is there any chance to get a TRV if I apply again? I heard that CAN+ is applicable for indians? Is that true? If I want to apply again, How long I need to wait ?

Hi,

1. Do post the list of documents and evidence that you submitted.

2. How long did you wish to visit?

3. Did you prepare a detailed day-by-day itinerary with expense estimates? Provisional hotel bookings?

4. What did you submit to prove your immigration and employment status in KSA?

5. CAN+ is available to Indians who have visited the US/Canada in the last 10 years.... however, CAN+ will not guarantee a TRV approval.... it expedites TRV processing time and fewer documents are required

6. You can apply anytime after you address the reasons for the refusals

Ans) I have attached the following documents .
1. Residence permit of Saudi Arabia
2. employment letter with my monthly salary details.
3. Hotel booking for 10 days
4. Round trip flight ticket
5. Travel history ( All valid and expired visa stickers and immigration stamps)
6. Marriage Certificate
7. bank statement with more than 15,000 CAD balance.

2. How long did you wish to visit?
Ans) I mentioned as 10 days.

Ans) No. I didn't prepare any day-by-day activities. Because I have not prepared this for any of my old visa's also. I have attached the hotel booking.

5. CAN+ is available to Indians who have visited the US/Canada in the last 10 years.
Ans) I have traveled to USA couple of times. Once to East side and second time to West for tourism.

To be honest, I can't seem to find a reason for rejection.. not sure what else you can do to strengthen your case. Not sure adding a day to day planner will make much of a difference.

I find that non-Saudi citizens applying from Saudi tend to get rejected. It seems that the VOs in Riyadh feel that because of Saudization, the tie between the employee and the employer is no longer strong enough.

The problem is, expats in Saudi cannot make investments (legally, in most cases), so employment is the only real tie they can show.

Tough nut to crack, this one.

What if I apply from India? Will it help?
But my job details will be from Saudi Arabia.
If i attach my property details and other investments? Sadly that I can not justify my purpose of visit other than this. I don't have any intention to stay there more than 10 days.

There's quite a bit that the OP can add to strengthen his case.

Yes, including a day-by-day detailed itinerary - and not just hotel bookings - shows a well-planned visit + will prove he has the finances to pay for the planned itinerary.

It helps a great deal to have a detailed itinerary when an applicant does not have a Canadian host who will provide accommodation, and take care of travel and living expenses during the visit

Also, for a non-Saudi citizen, the visa officer would've first evaluated the OP's ties to KSA.... on failing to find strong ties (except for employment), the visa officer would then have assessed any strong ties that the OP has to his home country.... which I believe he had NOT provided any evidence

Maybe apply for the VO's notes to get a better idea before applying again?

Whatever the documents they asked to submit, i have attached, which I did from my previous experiences with other countries visa requests. No where its mentioned to attach the day-to-day itinerary in the required docs. ( This is crap! Because even if you plan a day-to-day itinerary the VO should use his commonsense and understand this can be change at any time, based on the time and situation) , Also the investments back in home country. I don't think NO other country in the world asking of a visitor visa applicants assets in the home country! After all its just a visit.. not a PR request!

Visa application requirements change from country to country.... quite obviously, it is not a one-size-fits-all type of visa documentation.

No where its mentioned to attach the day-to-day itinerary in the required docs.

Do go through the Document Checklist for India applications to get a better idea.

An applicant should prove his/her visit plans are not frivolous or impromptu + ability to pay for this itinerary.

Besides why should the visa officer use his/her common sense to assess any visa application? A TRV is a privilege and not a right.

Also the investments back in home country. I don't think NO other country in the world asking of a visitor visa applicants assets in the home country! After all its just a visit.. not a PR request!
