Hi, I applied last year (Octuber 6th 2018) and my applicantion was rejected. The letter said due to family ties in Canada and my home country (Dominican Republic), No travel history no satisfied that I'll leave the country at the end of my trip.
I want to try again on October or November for this year and I change a couple of thing in my profile that may help:
1. I enrolled in College for Business Administration program. (By the time I apply again will be on my 4th trimester).
2. I'll have 4 years working in my current Job.
3. My current job pay me for study. (Basically, the company provide me with a Bursary or reinvestment as long as I work for the company, have passing grade from school and I re-enroll on College for new trimester. (I can provide photos of the checks that I received from my employer).
4. I'm not sure of this one but I found a website that you can buy Itinerary flight tickets for visa purpuse. They provide that in order you can use it in you visa aplication. Any thoughts or heard from that before?
5. My boss mentioned that she can write a letter for me with my company stamp explaining that I'll be back to DR after my trip due to work related duries.
6. I recently moved and I'll provide lease receipts.
6. Car registration under my name.
7. I don't know if I can send photos from my volumteer job that I did for my College. They didn't provide me with any certificate, however I have the photos.

I planing to apply on Octuber or November but I want to go on December (29th until January 6th) I have College Holiday during that time and I won't miss any classes. Plus I have my vacations on that time as well. My classes start at January 12th again. I will be re-enroll on college for my fifth trimester and I have the proof for that.

I only metioned the points I addressed from last year. I'm female, 29 and single. I'll pay for my own trip, hotel and my expenses. I don't have kids and last year I used to lived with my folks and my sister. I'm planning to visit my friend, his girlfriend and their family in Windsor, Ontario. Any help will be amazing.
Thank you so much!

Unfortunately your profile really doesn't show that you will leave Canada. What ties to the DR do you have? Why will you return?

Do you own any property?

The thing is, many people from the DR overstay their visas, so they scrutinize people from there more carefully. You fit the profile of someone who might overstay. You're young, single, and have no strong ties to the DR - nothing you couldn't really leave for a better life in Canada.

The primary thing that IRCC wants to see is whether you're a real tourist - whether you will leave after your visit. It's not impossible to get a visa, but it may be difficult especially since this is your first visa.

You might want to order your GCMS notes to see precisely what the last officer thought about your application. Those notes will tell you whether you have done enough to overcome their objections. You have time right now to get the notes - it takes about a month.

Also, how much money are you showing for this trip?

Oh! Good to know. I think my friend requested it for me the las time (the GCMS notes) no sure. They said it should be a canadian citizen that request it. Cost CAD 5.00 dollars. About the property. No, I don't. I moved recently. I do have the lease apartment receipts. Idk if that may help. Am I able to ask for the GCMS notes by myself?
Money at the moment I have CAD 5,000 in the bank. But by November I should my more on my bank acoount. Last time I have CAD 6,250 on my bank account and it didn't mentioned anything about financial issues.

No, you can't get your GCMS notes yourself. However there are many websites that will do it for you for around $20-30. Your friend can do it as well.

But if you already have the notes, what did they say? Post them here (remove personal/identifying info).

No, I think my friend didn't request it correctly last time. We never received it. I just text him and he told me we can request the ATIP tonight. What about other things that I should address beside the ATIP?
Isn't the ATIP and the GCMS notes the same or different things?

ATIP (Access to Information and Privacy Online Request) is the process to ask for your GCMS (Global Case Management Software/System) notes.

ATIP is used for any request of this nature to the government, yours happens to be for your GCMS notes.
