TRV rejected but SP status unchanged (linked online)

I (SP), along with my wife (TRV) applied on 2nd May.
I had to face interview on 12th june, 2016.
I have linked both application to MyCIC.
Today both application updated, but in my online account it shows TRV rejected.
But SP application status unchanged, dose that mean SP is also going to be rejected? as far i know decision of SP comes first and after that TRV.

Another query...
how TRV will get her passport back as her online application only showing "refused" and a pdf of rejection letter?

Do you mind sharing your profile? where did you apply, when? what uni and course did you apply your sp for?

The TRV rejection could be for your wife but your study permit application might still be under processing. You will only know it for sure once you get both your passports back. Is your funding enough to support both you and your dependent (wife) in canada? If not then you will have to show you have additional funds to support your wife in canada. If you havent already shown this then that could be the reason for your wife's TRV rejection

No, my funding only covers my cost, so, i showed separate sponsor with liquid money for my wife (TRV). I didn't get medical call or passport submission request. But for TRV we had to submit her passport with the application.

I am feeling nervous as, i saw some cases where they gave medical call to SP and after that rejected TRV. Why they are taking time for my application, is it a sign for rejection?
