Hi Everyone,
I'm from India, A Self Employed Small Business Owner, I've Got the Contract from One of our Canadian Business Associate to provide service support in India where the project will later shifted to India ,for that, to have meeting to Understand the project in Canada, i need to Visit Canada.
3 weeks back i'd applied for TRV through Online and it Got refused stating following Reasons

1. Family ties in Canada and in country of residence
2. Length of proposed stay in Canada
3. Purpose of visit
4. Having a legitimate business purpose in Canada
5. I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated
purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.
6. You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets.

- Now our client has modified the Contract and Requesting us to give Technical Support In pre-Installation of the Project in Canada which may be for 2- 3 months.
- So, for this I want to Reapply Again for TRV under Work Purpose, In the CIC Website When i Check the Eligibility it says I'm Eligible to apply for

"Foreign Worker-International Mobility Program (visitor's visa required + no work permit)
You may be eligible to come to Canada as a foreign worker."

- Pls let me know the Chances of getting TRV for temporary Work Purpose. and Weather I've to wait for some time or Can i apply Now.

My current situation will be as per below.
1. My status is Single
2. My employer will be in India
3. I'll be In pay Roll of The Company in india
4. My Company in India Will be a beneficiary of my Efforts in Canada.
5. My Company's Primary Business in in India.

Thanks for your valuable help in Advance.

Hi,

Now our client has modified the Contract and Requesting us to give Technical Support In pre-Installation of the Project in Canada which may be for 2- 3 months.
*Technical Support* is *work* and is not the same as attending training/business conference. This means you will be working in Canada for a Canadian company which is not allowed on a TRV.

The modified contract which the Canadian company has prepared is for your India employer. And not for yourself per se.

I guess you are incorrectly entering your details in the eligibility questionnaire.... particularly for the *contract/written offer from a Canadian employer*.... hence, you have an incorrect assessment of TFW under International Mobility Program

Cheers

Hi,

As a business visitor, you are not allowed to do any 'hands-on labour'.... also in this case, your Indian company will be paid for the technical support you provide in Canada. So, your visit would be to do work.

You need an approved LMIA along with a full time time job offer from an employer in Canada in order to apply for a temporary work permit. The LMIA is something your employer must obtain.

The LMIA isn't an ASAP process - it will take several months to complete. The employer will have to start by advertising the job for at least a month to prove no Canadian could be found for the role. Once the LMIA application is submitted, processing times are typicaly 2-4 months. The employer will also need to pay a $1,000 fee plus advertising costs (which will likely run several hundred dollars).
