TRV refused for Spouse

Hi Fellows,

I applied online on July 9th for my spouse. She has been refused and in the letter no particular reason is mentioned.
They have mentioned this on the letter:

In reaching a decision, an officer considers several factors; these may include the applicant’s travel and identity
documents, reason for travel to Canada, contacts in Canada, financial means for the trip; ties to country of
residence (including immigration status, employment and family ties) and whether the applicant would be likely
to leave Canada at the end of his/her authorized stay.

What could be the main reason? Any idea would be appreciated.

I just checked the 2nd Page. It mentions

-Travel History
-Family Ties in Canada and Home Country
-Personal Assets and Financial Status

I wonder how a person could develop travel history. She has been to UAE once and we did provide the evidence.
2ndly, She is currently pursuing her medical studies, we did provide a letter from her medical school.
She doesn't own any personal assets and financial status as she is student and kind of dependent on me, so what are we suppose to provide.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can't develop a travel history in a short period of time. You either have a travel history or you don't. What CIC is looking for is a travel history that demonstrates the person hasd visited a number of different countries in the past (preferably countries where a visa was required to enter) and has always returned home after their trip. From CIC's standpoint, your spouse doesn't really have a travel history.

I don't think there's anything you can do about family ties. Since you are in Canada, your spouse's family ties to Canada as stronger than her family ties to her home country.

Other than her studies, is there anything else you can provide that shows she has strong ties to her home country? A part time job? An apartment she rents? As of now, her ties look weak.

Travel history I believe is just a stupid reason for someone who is just 21 years and has been a student.

She doesn't own property thats why we didn't provide anything. But seems as if I have to transfer some property on her name.
What do you suggest, how to cover these points in these circumstances?

During my trips around the world, I had seen a lot of children either traveling alone or with their parents. Therefore, travel history is not a stupid reason for someone under 21 y.o. and being a student.

If you read the news, two schoolgirls passengers died (aged 16 y.o.) in the recent Asiana plane crash in San Francisco. The schoolgirls were from China and had a stopover in South Korea.

Oh thank you for letting me know that people actually do travel . Not everyone on this green earth of God needs to travel until required.
and i feel sorry for two schoolgirls died in plane crash (May their souls rest in peace).

What do you suggest in my case. How should cover these points? What your experience is saying in this case?

Same as Scylla had said about travel history: You either have travel history or you don't.

As for ties, is your wife living with her parents who own or lease the home she's living? If so, show the title deed or lease agreement with a letter from her parents indicating that they expect her return at the end of her intended trip to Canada.

Invitation letter is based on my graduate ceremony. I don't think there should be problem with that.
What have you provided in the 2nd attempt?

and you have not provided any extra document like property on your spouse name etc. this time?

nopes...because i read some where that if in ur second try u show the property on her name they will obviously know that u have transferred this only for this application so i didnt

Hi se7en,

Sorry about your situation. I don't have advise for you but had a general question. How were you advised of the refusal of the visa? Was that through the CIC account email? Or were you asked to send the passport and then a denial was stamped in the passport?

Denial stamp on the passport, i dont think this happens...its just a simple letter or an email that ur application has been rejected...As far as i know

Yes for online application they post letters in CIC account. They never mark the passport
