I am a 33 year old, single Indian male wanting to visit Canada for 3 weeks during the festive and holiday season of Dec end and Early Jan 2020.
My background:
1. 33 yr old, single (never married), Indian male
2. Travel History
a. 18 day solo tour to Europe in April-May 2019 - Spain, Portugal and Netherlands
b. 5 day official trip to Czech Republic in Dec 2018
c. 5 day official trip to Thailand in Dec 2017
d. 13 day tourist trip to South Africa in Jun 2017
3. Post Graduate and working for reputed MNCs for past 6 years
4. In my current job for almost 4 years and earning income of approx. 3000 CAD per month with 2 promotions
5. Almost 50k CAD in investment, savings, FDs, mutual funds and stocks
6. Parents and brother in India but self sufficient (with not much income and can be shown as dependents)
7. No real estate or property in my name
8. Living in a rented apartment paying approx. 750 CAD as rent per month and have a deposit of almost 5.5K CAD with the owner
9. Parents have real estate and savings in their name but are retired
My Case:
I applied for TRV earlier this month and it got rejected on below grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
What I had submitted:
Applied under - Visiting Family Friends and documents submitted as below:
1. Invitation letter from a friend stating that he invites me to his place for 2 weeks and is willing to sponsor my accommodation or any other expenses
2. Confirmed return flight tickets
3. Passport copy of each page stating each of the stamps with my complete travel history mentioned above
4. Savings bank account statement for 4 months showing a balance of CAD 15000
5. Payslips for last 6 months
6. Income Tax returns for last 3 financial years
7. Letter from Employer (Renowned MNC - Fortune 500 Company) stating the leave granted for purpose of travel to Cananda and employed since and my designation
8. PR Card and Passport of the Invitee
P.S. : I did not attach a cover letter
Require guidance on resubmission:
1. I have my tickets booked for December so should I apply right away ?
2. Should I apply for GCMS notes ? I have heard it takes a long time and I don't have enough time as I have to travel soon.
3. If reapplication needs to be done, what all should I include? I have made a list, please comment on it.

1. First and foremost is Cover Letter. I missed it last time and no wonder it got refused.
Basis of cover letter will be to address all the points of refusal.
Also in the cover letter, I will elaborate on the 5 refusal points and attach the documents mentioned below for each refusal point. I need help on any additional documents that I should attach OR any other thing I should remove.
Refusal Points #1 :
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

1. Ration Card of family (Establishing my relationship with them)
2. Passport Copies of all family members (Establishing my relationship with them)
3. Tax Returns for Parents and Brother for Last 1 year (Showing their limited income and hence being dependent on me)
4. Account statement of their bank accounts for Last 1 year (Showing their limited income and hence being dependent on me)
5. Any big transfers done by me to them in last 1 year (Showing their dependence on me)
6. Father's retirement letter from job (Showing his senior citizen status and hence limited income and employment)
7. My Current leave and license agreement for my rented apartment. Lease expires on 31st Jan 2020. My trip ends on 8th Jan 2020. I have a deposit of 5.5 CAD with the owner which has to be taken on termination of contract. (Showing my ties with home country)
Refusal Points #2 :
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
Documents for Refusal # 2
1. Apply under tourism as opposed to visiting family/friends (Please guide on this, is this ok)
2. Mention about solo trip to Europe, hostel bookings, travel tickets and all other past travel history (mentioned above)
3. Provide day by day itinerary of the canadian trip with all the accommodation and travel bookings
4. Provide an invitation letter from the host (who is a friend) mentioning they would like to travel in canada and show me around but i would be paying for my expenses
Refusal Points #3& 4:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 200(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
Documents for Refusal # 3 & 4
1. Educational qualification (Post Graduate) establishing that I am well educated
2. Experience letters from past employers mentioning Job responsibilities, Salary, Designation and duration of employment
3. Mentioning in the letter that for the past 15 years there has been no break in my career (I have been continuously either been studying or being employed proving that there are good employment prospects for me in my home country)
4. Current Employer letter stating that I am a permanent employee, employed for almost 4 years, mentioning my roles and responsibilities, my leave granted and the project I am working on. Why I should be back by a mentioned date as I will be required for the completion of the project.
5. Appointment Letter of Employer and Notice Period Policy
6. Bank statements (First salary of current employer + Last Salary)
7. IT Returns - Last 3 years
8. Form 16 - Last 3 years (mentions employer's name)
9. Character certificate Letter from employer (Needs to be checked if i can get this)
Refusal Points #5:
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

1. All of my investments like Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds, FDs, PF, PPF, EPF and Savings account - Almost 45-50K CAD

On basis of above points, kindly suggest.
One more thing, I also have an active PR application (not received ITA yet), will refusal of TRV have any impact on that?
