My Romanian girlfriend and I have been refused her TRV to come visit me.I understand it is diffacult to get a visa as a Romanian citizen. We provided all of the required documentation as outlined in the info packet.According to the letters we got from the Canadian embassy in Romania, she was refused for 3 reasons that follow.
1) Purpose of visit
2) her current employment situation
3) her personal assets and financial status

we submitted the reason for her purpose of visit was to come for a 7 day visit, to meet my family and see the area where I live as a tourist only.I submitted the letter of invitation and supporting documents including, all my banking history for 1 full year,my credit card and line of credit history for 1 full year, proof of ownership, of my home and property that I reside on.She also submitted proof of her ties to her country, letters from her school dean stating she has 2 more years of school left, and that her next year was paid for in full, proof from her sons school that he is enrolled in classes and that he is a honor student. She is going to school full time, and could not provide proff of employment as she does odd jobs to support herself and her son due to her school schedule.I have spoken to my MLA in my area over a few years about this, and he is familliar with me and my case.He has told me that he fully believes me that there is no illeagle intentions on our part and he would gladly write a letter of support in this case. She does not own property, she rents an apartment.the only drastic change that has happened in our case is that we have now become engaged. Is it feasable to re apply for another TRV with the added letter from my MLA and our engagement? Or will she again be refused due to the fact she still rents an apartment and is still in attendance at school? Any advise, assistance or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Almost similar case happened with me.. My sister applied for turist visa to Canada from India and she was refused because the visa office was not sure that she will leave at the end of her stay. I am on work permit status in Canada.

Any advise to what can be done? should we apply again right away explaining more in the invitation letter?

Thanks

oddbinn , does her son stays behind? Why only 7 days? To travel so far for only 7 days? It is odd.

Showing engagement will make everthing even worth. When did you meet her last time?

Rergina: yes, her son stays behind to be with his father, due to her school schedule and eratic working,we both decided that only a 7 day visit would be possable, we have known each other for 6 years comming up this October, and have taken our relationship the next step when I proposed to her last year.We have not yet met in person,Due to the fact that the only time I am able to travel there to see her, she is in school and would not be able to take time away from her studies to be able to really see me, and I would prefer for her to come here, to meet my family,as I have met her mother, her son,her brother over the internet via web cam and have spoken to all of them at great lengths for extended varing amounts of time.

Canada is very suspicious about international online dating. It is an immediate red flag.

Usually people in your situation have to prove that there actually exists a relationship with trips to their partners home country (online doesn't count if there is not something physical to back it up). If they can get married or become common-law there, much better. It is not the other way.

So unless she can get a much more solid application on her own (not based on what you can prove) I think the best is that you travel to her home country.

You NEVER met her but you proposed??????!?!!?
Well, you should go and meet her in her country at least couple of times and ONLY THEN she could try to get visa to come and visit you.
Hi All,
Need help
Situation:-
I (Indian resident) got married in May 2017 and my Husband (Canadian PR holder) has applied for Spouse Sponsorship on September 2017 and got his eligibility to sponsor letter on November 1, 2017.
1st Attempt - I applied TRV on October 31, 2017 and got rejected on November 15, 2017 with just one reason " your sponsor's eligibility to sponsor you has not yet been determined"

2nd Attempt - I again applied on November 16, 2017 with the Sponsorship eligibility letter and the same application. Again got rejected saying they are not convinced that I will go back with three reasons
  • Travel History
  • Family Ties in India and Canada
  • Employment status
What I submitted for proof in my second application:-
  • Went on a International trip with my husband in August to Maldives (Stamp on passport for international travel), it is my first trip outside India (My husband suspected Travel history being a reason and that why we had this trip)
  • I wrote that I live with my parents and sister. My sister is in 12 grade and I teach her regularly, she have her exams in March 2018 and I have to come back to India to teach her.
  • I showed that I have to start a job in February, 2018 and for that I have to come back to India in January 2018
Can anyone please help me
Should I apply again after 2 refusals or I should just wait for PR?
If I should apply then how long after I apply again?
What explanations can I give to cover the above 3 reasons for refusal?
