TRV Refusal: Purpose of travel

Hi all,

Would love some insight into this. My wife and I live/work abroad and she applied for visit visa and it got refused and the only reason checked off was purpose of travel. In the application, I had included an invitation letter where I explained that I would like her to meet my friends and family and see where I grew up and see the Canadian culture and briefly mentioned the different touristic places we'd go see. Also that we'd be staying in my parent's home.

The rest of application included:
- Proof of work (both of us) and letter from her employer allowing for vacation on the specified dates
- Bank statements showing proof of funds
- Apartment rental contract
- Car lease contract
- Travel itinerary
- Travel insurance

^ to prove strong ties to country of residence.

We're really not sure what more information we can provide to show purpose of travel? Can anyone provide any examples?

Where did u apply from? How may days did it take to get the decision?

Applied from Abu Dhabi, UAE. We live in Dubai. We got the reply super quick, after 17 days from applying.

Did you attached your residency ID? what about the requirements of your sponsor, did you submit as well?

Yes residency ID with residency visa attached. I'm not sure what you mean about a sponsor, this is a visit visa, so there's no sponsor involved. However, I included my passport copy with her application to prove that I am Canadian.
