Hello,
I recently applied for a TRV from India to visit my brother who is a Permanent Resident of Canada.
The application was refused and the following reasons were stated-

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
( I have my two parents living in India, and my brother, sister-in-law and niece living in Canada)

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
( I am entirely confused about why this was a basis of refusal)

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
( I have declared around CAD 6000 as my current funds, and I do not own any property here in India)

Can any of you guys please advice me on how to go about re-applying again so I do not get refused again on the above grounds? Please ask for any more details if required. Thanks!

Based on your post, you didn't have chances of a TRV approval.

1. How long did you want to visit and why?

2. Are you employed or a student?

3. Have you traveled to any other visa-required countries (US, UK, Schengen, Australia, NZ, etc)?

4. Source of your finances?

5. Your finances are too low to pay for the airfare + your stay

1. Visit was of two weeks and reason was to visit my brother and his family who live there.
2. I am employed and had attached a letter from my Employer as well as my salary slips in the application.
3. I haven't travelled to any other country before.
4. Source of my finances were my own account+ my brother was sponsoring me. So his details and pay stubs were also attached. Also a letter by him stating where I would be staying and that he would be taking care of my expenses for the two weeks.

1. IRCC would like to see financial stability and stable employment + employment that pays above average income + unique work responsibilities which your co-workers cannot do. In short, employment ties for you to return home.

2. Your brother's financial support does not matter for your visa application. You must be able to pay for your entire visit on your own, including airfare, without depending on your brother/without borrowing from anyone.

3. A bank balance of CAD 6,000 (and I'm assuming no other financial investments) would imply that either your employment does not pay well (no financial incentive to return home) or your expenses are too high
