Hello,

I had my visitor visa refused the first time and would like to apply for the second time.
Will it increase my chances of approval if i show them proof that i will be traveling to other country (visa exempted) after my trip to Canada?
I'm from Malaysia, would like to visit my bf in Canada in March next year, and then planning on a trip to Thailand with my colleagues in May.

And secondly, if i get my visa application refused again..(i hope not). Will it affect when i want to apply for a Canada PR in the future?
How many times am i able to apply for a visitor visa before it becomes too risky?

It may not help..... if, for example, you plan to drive to Thailand from Malaysia (though it's a long drive).... so no flight bookings + if you don't have confirmed hotel reservations in your name

Upward of maybe 2-3 refusals may delay your PR processing

You can apply as many times as you wish. However, from the first refusal itself, the applicant is in the system as not being a genuine visitor/potential over stayer, etc depending on the refusal reasons

My first application was to visit my bf...and my second application will also be for the same reason.

Regarding the PR application, it will be a sponsorship from him in the future, will an upwards of 2 refusal affect this as well?

Your objective must be to not get another TRV refusal

Yea, that is my objective. I'm constantly gathering up information right now before i proceed with the second application. But there is still a worry whether i should proceed with the second application or not because i don't know how effective my letters and documents are for the next round.
