Hi

Can Permanent resident who is working part time send an invitation letter to be attached with their parents TRV application,or can't as he is not financially capable as he works part time. (parents can show sufficient funds and are capable to show to visa officer that they have enough funds on their own)

Or support letter won't be of any help?

How long is TRV issued for is it 10 year/expiry of the passport or just for 6 months?

Is there a format for invitation letter and what all points needs to be included?

Thanks

Yes you can provide an invitation letter - you do not have to include any declaration of financial support for your parents during their visit and can (optionally) state they (your parents) will be funding the trip on their own.

In this case the invite shows the reason/purpose for the visit, and gives added credence to the application to visit Canada.

See here for a sample of what to include in an invitation letter.

That depends on the purpose of the visit, what is seen now is that TRVs are multiple entry with validity that can be up to the expiry date of the passport. Again - this depends on the purpose of the visit/travel as well as the supporting documents for the application.

There are some exceptions - such as the parents/grandparents super visa is up to 10 years.
