TRV processing time has passed.Really worried

Hi everyone

This with the TRV is really stressing me out. dont know that to do...
I am a Post Graduate Work Permit holder. I have applied on September 10th for my Temporary resident visa from within Canada. It was an online application. Now, the CIC website shows that the processing time is 8 days and that they work on applications received on September 15th. It has been 19 days so far I have gotten no update, no passport reguest, no approval or refusal yet. Does anyone has experience or knows what can be the reason for this delay?? This really worries me...

Hi,
I kinda have the same situation TRV but out side Canada, the processing time for me was 18 day it went up to 29 days now, actually, its been 31 days since I submitted the application still waiting, I guess its been delayed everywhere and crossing the processing time / increasing it, its happening a lot nowadays I have no idea why.

on the positive side, you are not the only one who his application still pending.

It is one month now, no answer, not even the monthly update from CIC

I tried, but it seems that it is easier to get an alien on the phone rather than CIC agent

Call them in the morning at exactly 8:00 am. That’s when I call if I need anything

I have called them this morning at exactly 08:00. The voice message keep saying that the call center is closed, although I was trying to get someone for the next 20 minutes. maybe they got a day off long weekend for thanksgiving. Anyway, I found it funny that the automated voicemail says that " if you submited your application online before Monday, May 26th, 2017, the processing time is 115 days...Now their website says one thing ( 8 days) and the voicemail on their call center says 115 days. However, one thing is for sure, this iis chaos...

Yes today is a holiday. You can try them tomorrow. The 115 days must be for trv extensions.

For me I have applied in August month almost 51days finish applied vfs hyderabad tillnow no update

Yes today is a holiday. You can try them tomorrow. The 115 days must be for trv extensions.

So I have realized that I have actually applied for a visitor extensions visa, although I a PGWP holder which makes me have a legal status, so I texted cic to withdraw my application and I got this response:
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

A note has been added to your file to notify the responsible office that you wish to withdraw your application. Once the processing of your application begins, the office will determine if the application can be withdrawn and will issue a refund within 16 weeks of the withdrawal, if applicable.

If you have submitted your application with family members and you are the principal applicant, the office will also withdraw their applications.

Please note that the decision to withdraw an application is definitive, and that a new application will require the applicable fees.

We hope the information provided is helpful in assisting you with your enquiry.

We would also like to suggest the following online services that might be helpful to you with any immigration, refugee and/or citizenship future requests:

Visitor extensions are for those who are neither students nor workers and want to remain in Canada as visitors.

Does it a bad thing that I have withdrawn the application??? The online system at IRCC gave those forms. I did obtained my PGWP before applying for the visitor extension. I have applied for visitor extension by mistake, so I withdraw it. I have sent a new proper application for TRV from within Canada today.

In you application both the withdrawn one and the new one did u fill IMM 5257 or IMM 5708
