TRV processing in NY Canada Consulate - Recent

I applied online and also made the payment online but no where did it ask if I am applying to LA or NY?
I am a bit concerned as the LA & NY website shows that it accepts payments via money order or cheques. Did I do something wrong?

1. Do I need to pay again ?
2. Processing times are as per the location (NY or LA), online application did not mention either, so which processing time should I consider?
 
When did you apply online and did you get the PP request .? If you have sent the PP to NY or LA you need to check with respective consulate.
 
I plan to go to NYC consulate tomorrow night if I still have no clue tomorrow, and I am far away...Michigan.
They got my passport by May 3rd and no updates since then.
 
I think I'm going to NYC to visit the consulate on Friday as well. My passport was received on May 2nd, and nothing so far.

I do not even need the visa anymore, I simply need my passport back so that I can travel elsewhere next week.

I'm gonna try to have them pull my passport out and just hand it to me as is. Anyone had such experience with the NY consulate?
 
Just now received a message from the NY consulate (upon asking the status of my application) that my passport has been mailed out last night. Quoting them "Your documents were returned to you via sase expmail trk#: ei XXXXXXXX us on May 28, 2013."

USPS site doesn't have the tracking # activated yet; not sure if this is a system error or delay in processing. Will wait patiently, as I was already.

Timeline:

7 April - Online Application
30 April - Request for Passport
2 May - Passport received by NY Consulate
28 May - Passport sent out (as per their email)

I suppose by email, NewYork-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca
But I never have response by sending them daily email since one week ago.
 
Guys with this Canada you need to have patience
I applied onlin on April2 nd
Received passport request on April 19
Embassy received it on April 23
I got my passport on May 17th

They give visa until passport validity and visa is issue at Ottawa, so I think they send all our passports to Ottawa for stmaping
But these stupid people should inform us
People need passport what if there is emergency and you need to travel

Yes, that's the email address. I was fortunate to receive email replies to every email I sent. Now to think about it, I sent all these emails from my work email address instead of personal email address. Perhaps it helps?

Passport Notification: 16th May
NYC received Passport: 20th May

Awaiting response from NYC. I have a trip to Canada on 12th June.

Few questions -
1. I had sent passport for me and wife with one return envelope. Is that ok?
2. Can I got to NY embassy and receive my passport

Some on forum got passport back, and it seems most of them got visa stamped.

Did you go To the consulate of Canada at NY?
Did they give any update?
I have also applied on 6th May and have heard nothing from them as yet :(
 
Here is my timeline:

Submitted Online Application: March 25th
Request for Passport: April 19th
Passport received by the consulate: May 3rd
Passport returned: May 28th

I am hoping to get my passport sometime today!
