Hi Enzo24, I read that you were worried about them issuing a regular visitor's visa for your parents, now that they received the visa can you confirm what visa was it? PG1? or Visitor's?

Hi everyone...my mom applied for a TRV last march 13 and just yesterday she received an email informing her that she needs to undergo a medical..My mom is 67 y/o and she plans to visit canada for less than 6 months..
Before, they dont usually ask for a medical if you stay less than 6 months,is this a new thing now?anybody here has experienced the same situation..thanks..

Yes I heard about this one. I just can't find the thread for it. The applicant complied to what is requested. Although when I applied for my mom, she is 70, they did not ask for a medical examination. I guess it really depends on the VO.

Interesting. I hope they will not require one for my mom. She is 58. I applied last March 15 online. It says on the status "you do not need medical". I'm hoping she'll get the visa.

Hi,

How long did you wait for your mom’s visa after medical?
