I recently got my TRV approved after I received my PGWP. For this purpose I sent my passport to CPC-Ottawa as requested. I Iive in Quebec and according to the website I have to buy 2 regional Xpresspost envelopes for sending and receiving them. I sent the passport accordingly but didn't realize that the larger envelope in which I sent my passport, copy of passport request letter and smaller letter for returning my passport after counterfoil has been attached is regional but the smaller one in which the passport will be returned to me is national. I went back to Canada Post office and they told me that it's not an issue if the return envelope is national. I am worried if my passport will be returned safely or there'll be any issues.

Hey! So glad you got your TRV, usually passports are handled with a lot of security, so if Canada post says it’s not a problem- it should be fine. I just had a question, how long did it take for your TRV to get approved and when did you apply? I’ve been away from my parents for almost 3 years now and I’m really waiting to get it so I can travel soon.
Hi. I got my passport back last week. I applied on 25th September 2021 after I got my PGWP. I got passport request on 21st October 2021. I think TRV applications are now getting processed quickly.
I applied before Sept 7th and I haven’t received a biometrics request either. I’m literally wondering if I should re-apply
I did my biometrics during my study permit application. Probably that’s the reason why mine got approved early. Generally it takes around 4 months.
Can you please share how long it took IRCC office in Ottawa to send your passport back after it's been delivered to them?
and if you don't mind What was the Signatory name tge person who received your passport?
I've sent my passport and I'm very anxious about it and the Signatory name I got is SCI ELEMENT not IRCC
