TRV (PAPER) application submitted on October 25, 2013

Hi,
I had submitted my TRV application to CIC , which was received on 25th of OCT by CIC according to Canada post delivery report. I have not received my passport back yet. Did anyone applied around same time (applied before 30 Oct) have received their passport back or can track their self address envelops? I have already booked my flight considering time shown on the website at the time of application submission(15 Days).

According to CIC website they are processing the applications received before 30th of OCT 2013.

Hey..dont worry.

I have submitted the paper application too on 21st Oct and got my passport back last Friday. I think you can hear something this week end.

If you have submitted Xpresss Envolope then try to track it this week end.

Yes i did send them Xpress envelop. so hoping to receive it back within a day,if they send it out atleast on fridays. But my tracking number is not in the system yet.

Did you send the Xpress Envelop.

Can you please tell me the date, they endorses the Visa and the date they sent it back to you.

I have not received it either. I tracked my number today, but I don’t think they have posted it yet. I have my flight tomorrow evening. If you get any update please post earliest possible.

Hi Guys , CIC received my application n October 25 , and still waiting for my passport . I did not send the Xpresspost envelope , by mistake i did send one from UPS but i read they will not send it if not Canada Post . My mistake!!!!!! . I called today to the call center and finally i got some information after trying many times since others would only say they have no idea beceause they don't have contact with the office in Ottawa . So i was told by this nice guy that my passport was put in the mail in DEc 11 but probably my passport left Ottawa by Dec 12 and since is regular mail it takes 5 to 7 days . Hopefully i will get my passport soon since i have to flight by next weekend .

Did anybody got same information and still waiting for passport to get back ?

That is good to hear. My paper application was submitted on the 4th of October. They said my application has been finalized on the 10th of Dec. I have also attached an Xpresspost Envelope. Whenever I call the call centre they tell me that they dont deal with TRV`s. I am extremely upset and frustrated. I hope you get your passport soon. Please let me know when you do!

Hi Cool Guy . I got the same answer from the call center many times until today that somebody at least care about my situation and gave some information. Hopefully we get our passports soon .

HELLO,

i was wondering if anyone can help me, i am currently in Canada and i have applied for a multiple entry visa ONLINE. i was directed to the link that i can submit application online and processing only takes 10 days. can any one verify if my understanding is correct, that i can apply for it online which i already have . im worried that i shouldnt have done it online and shouldve just mailed it instead. but there was an online application option which was faster. i am planning to go out of canada for a week in january and im worried that i wouldnt have my reentry visa before i leave. on that note, do they check reentry visas at Calgary airport (worse case scenario that i dont receive my visa before i leave)

Not yet, I am still waiting for my passport , I was told that my passport was put in the mail on DEc 11 , So I don't know why my passport is not here yet . CIC sent it on regular mail and is taking forever to get here , So I don't know who's fault is now , . ANy ideas how long does it take foe regular mail to be delivery? I live in Calgary Alberta .

I think it usually takes 7 days. Due to the Holiday season it could possibly be delayed by a day or two. I think you should receive it any day if they have told you that it was mailed out on the 11th of Dec.

I applied for a TRV on the 4th of October. My Paper application was finalized on the 10th of Dec but I still have not received anything yet, neither has my tracking number been activated. I try emailing them with my situation but they don't reply. I am feeling absolutely helpless. Any advice?

Hi Cool Guy.
When i called the agent was able to tell when my passport was put in the mail which is Dec 11 th , also told me that my visa was approved and the address where CPP mailed my passport back (My home address) which all the information was correct . I think they know whats going on in the Ottawa office they just don't care about giving any information. I called many times and before they all said they have no idea what is going on at the Visa Processing center CPP Ottawa .

Maybe you should try calling to the call center again and tell them that you called before and somebody already told you that your application was finalized on the 10 th , and they will send your passport shortly and it has been more that 2 months and you don't have your passport yet( makes them believe that you got information from the call center)Also , tell them you are worried that your passport got lost on the Mail( that is what i said ) and you have to flight soon. In order for the agent at the call center to give me that information he asked me for my CLIENT ID # . Do you have a client ID #?

Good luck and i will let you know whenever i get my passport , Hopefull soon otherwise i will have to cancel my flight which is the second one that i bought ( the first one was not refundable so i lost $1500 ) . and screw my family's vacation (Husband and two Kids).
